  1. I have the eBosser and am having trouble cutting some intricate dies from Lifestyle and Cherry Lynne and wondered if I could use the metal shim that I got from Cheery Lynn for my other machines? Thanks for your answer. I don't want to chance ruining my new machine...It rocks! Judy

  2. Judy,

The correct combination: A,B,C,D with metal shim over the cutting die and A on top.

    Have fun!

  3. I only have one A plate, do you use two? So you cut into the metal shim? Sorry to be so dense but need to get it right. Thanks again.

  4. Can we use the large dies fro m Stampin Up with the Ebosser? I am speaking of the dies that are very thick. If so, what is the proper stacking?

I have tried to register my new Ebosser, bought on Hsn a few days ago, but there is no sticker indicating the serial number, The only numbers appear on the bottom of the machine and are Model number and Batch numbers. Help!!

  7. @Judy,

You place B, C, & D then die, metal shim over die, and A plate.

    @Anonymous,

You don't need to register the eBosser. The registration only applies to the eCraft. As for your other question, we have not tried Stampin' Up dies, try asking on our website forum, as I'm sure one of our Design Team members will know the right combination.

    @Judith,
We will have the eBosser available in Australia in mid October. You can contact customer support for details on SKAT KATZ our Australian distributor. cs@craftwellusa.com

  8. Just unpacked mine, plugged in and turned on. Then I turned it off and ever since will not turn on or off unless I try several times. Could it be defective?
Tried metal shims as directed in booklet, only went 1/3thru and then reversed. Tried several times, same problem, so removed shim, went thru fine but did not cut all the way, so did twice. Could it be the paper was two thick? Regular cardstock. Thanks, Mary

  9. Mary,

Try to contact our customer support! cs@craftwellusa.com It could be that the connection cord is not working, if that is the case we can send you a new one.

  10. when and where can I purchase the replacement A plates and the large embossing foldes?

  11. received my ebosser yesterday tried all my different dies through it and was so pleased even offered it a sandwich that was too thick and it rejected it which is so good as you can't accidently jam it
went to show it to hubby tonight and when i offered it the too thick sandwich to show him it won't take it, it took it out of my hands and has now jammed the machine so annoyed why has it done this when yesterday it rejected the very same combination. i though it wasn't supposed to take an incorrect thickness of material well this one did and now it's stuck. what do i do now. so annoyed with it

  12. I received my eBosser today and when I tried to use it power wouldn`t start then suddenly started working and grabbed plates then stopped I cannot remove plates, I loaded the correct plates but by the time the power came through the plates had moved and weren`t straight, the machine won`t reverse the plates nor take the plates through the machine, HELP

  13. glad its not just me having issues. looks like this machine has teething problems. it's meant not to take in stacks that are too big but obviously it's hit and miss. what worries me if i get a replacement other than refund, what will happen if the right sandwich is used and i try and cut chipboard which say is a little thick how will i know if the machine isn't spotting it before it jams up. so dissapointed was so looking forward to this machine as being disabled really struggle with the hand cranked ones please help craftwell. gill

  14. Hi Gillyflower,

The machine does have an auto-eject, but in the case that the platforms are too thick and jam, it will shut itself down before the autoeject is able to kick in. When this happens, you can eject the platforms by tapping them from the exit of the eBosser, with a rubber mallet. Simply tap a few times and then nudge the combination from the front of the machine. PLEASE USE A RUBBER MALLET, NOT A HAMMER. If you have any more questions, contact our support at cs@craftwellusa.com

  15. thanks for your reply
can you clear something up for me.
this reject system the machine has when does it come into play as i understood that it rejected any sandwich that was too thick if so why did it take this sandwich in. what worries me is i will want to cut chipboard but feel nervous now about using it as how will i know if the chipboard is too thick or not if the machine doesn't reject it i am going to be stuck with a jammed machine again. what is the reject system for should it reject anything that is not suitable if so how come it thought this sandwich was ok and only realised it wasn't when the dies were half way through the machine and jammed there. bit confused thanks gill

    ReplyDelete
  16. gillyflower,

The reject mechanism kicks in if the combination is wrong, and how it's being put in. For example, if you put a plate that is not supposed to be put on top, the machine will reject it. However, if you put it in with force, before the machine accepts it on it's own, this is likely to happen. However, we have found that the rubber mallet method is gentle, and will wiggle one plate out, so the auto eject can spit it out.

  17. thanks for your help
but i am still not sure if to use chipboard with the sizzix die in it if mine gets fixed or if i choose to buy another if i get a refund.
i just feel unsure of how to judge safe sandwiches.
i can follow the stack correctly but still end up with a jammed machine if i put a piece of chipboard in it that it can't cope with.
what are the rules for the thickness of chipboard that is safe to use with sizzix dies as i use chipboard quite a lot but am really not sure if this machine will take it
could you give us a comprehensive answer to what is the thickest material i can safely emboss or cut with the right sandwich before it will jam up.is it worth me getting another one of these machines if i want to cut chipboard with sizzix dies on a regular basis. or is it better suited to cutting paper and card with smaller dies and spellbinders. still feel quite confused with it all. i have used other electric machines quite easily. but want a larger capability which this offers. really want to keep my machine but don't want to be continually having to bash out jammed up plates
thanks for your help so far

  18. just got my ebosser, was so looking forward cutting loads of my favourite dies,
but when put through the machine it only cut out half of the die, i placed 4 different dies on the machine all spellbinder's, and it only cut part of each die.

  19. hi can you just answer one question for me
will the ebosser cut chipboard the type that sizzix used to make 6x12 and 12x12. all the other diecutting machine ihave had in the past have cut it no problem but after the jamming episode i am worried about trying it all i want to do i cut chipboard with sizzix dies is it safe to do so
    many thanks gill

  20. Rubber mallet method! What if the plates have not gone far enough through to tap from the exit and the power had cut off. The plates have only just gripped at an angle and when you press power button it cuts out.

  21. Hi! glad so many other people having my prob too (plates stuck half in and half out) will try the rubber mallet suggestion but not sure about 'tap plates from the exit of the machine then nudge combo from front'. Do you mean after tapping plates at exit wiggle plates from front - towards yourself? Felt such a fool when this happened and so grateful for any help.

  22. Just tried the rubber mallet to try to release the plates but each time I swich the machine on it cuts out so theres no chance of moving the plates with the mallet. HELP!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Please contact customer support for any questions regarding thicknesses of materials and or combinations. Because each case is different, there is no general answer. If you are trying to release the plates of the machine, and are unable to, Customer care can walk you through the process as well.

  27. I ordered a ebosser in France on October 28 and to this day it still has not arrived and the seller can not give me a date, why?

  28. I tried my ebosser today. When I tried to use a Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder it was rejected. Does anyone else have this problem

    ReplyDelete
  29. I have successfully used the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folders, however, I used 2 C Plates insrtead of C and D. I am a eBosser distributor in Australia, so I had a spare set of plates. You should be able to purchase these in the US, I shall be getting extra oplates in my second shipment here in Australia - late December.

  30. I have successfully used the Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folders by using the following combination c, d, e, emossing plate with card in, black rubber sheet and b plate on top. The emossing was beautiful.

  31. I thought the B plate was not to used on top is that correct??? I keep seeing different combinations with the B plate on top.

  32. My machine arrived and I used it a couple of times. I haven't used it for 10 days and now the first time I have put a die through it has jammed. It didn't auto eject or turn it self of it has just stuck solid. Do I have to buy a rubber mallet and try hitting it or is there anything else I should try. I'm not best pleased as I have loads of cards to do. Any suggestions would be welcome.

  34. I bought an E-Bosser and had to send it back to shop as first time I used it it jammed and no amount of tapping withrubber mallet would shift. Shop managed and returned it to me but then it wouldn't even switch on. Would have loved it to work but not going to risk it again in near future.

  35. Could you please tell me where to find the serial no: on the eBosser Model E - WHT - EL1
    Batch No: A062612001

  36. Mine just got stuck and I had to thumb it a few times with the rubber mallet, I thought it was never going to release but gladly it did in the end. Will check manual everytime I use it now, don`t want that to happen again.

  37. I also had to use the rubber mallet but I put a piece of wood on the plates then hit with the mallet and they came right out.
I need to know where to get extra plates my A plate is cracked and I cut my magnetic sheet with one of my dies by mistake.

  39. I have found that I can emboss spellbinders embossables by using D E C then the embossing folder with B ontop, this seems to work fine. But my spellbinder dies are not embossing even though I am using the right sandwich, even if I use the E shim it still does not emboss, does this mean I need a new embossing mat, I hope not has I haven't really used it that much.

  47. I used the ebosser with the cuttlebug all in one folder. It worked great. I used the c plate on the bottom then the all in one folder with paper inside and then the A plate.

  48. I'm using my machine for the first time, I have the correct plates in - & the embossing folder and now the machine is jammed - the machine has struggled from the get go! I've cut out a few flowers, but cutting is sporadic, not effective at all. Cannot get the plates out - Hugely disappointed - not a happy bunny at all.

  50. can I use the long cuttlebug plates with the e bosser (the 15.8 inch long plates)

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hi, love the eBosser, so far no issues with jamming, ejecting seems to work fine. My only problem is the machine just shuts down for no reason...any ideas??? Has done this now three times in as many days :(

  52. Are the Fiskar plates compatible with the new TC eBosser?
    thanks

  53. My problem is cutting multiple dies ... everyone on video and TV can do it ... why can't I? After it passes the first die and cuts 1/4-1/2 inch of the second die, it stops and backs out. Like I said, I've seen it done; just not on my machine!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Couple of things to look at:

Are the dies the same brand? is your A plate warped? If the A plate is warped, we suggest you flip it over. This way, the machine will accept the combination. You can also purchase an extra A plate so you can use it exclusively with dies. If you have done the above, contact our support! cs@craftwellusa.com
