Blast from the past! Easter Basket from Joann Jamieson-Larkin

Hi everyone,
Today I want to share with you another fun project featuring the Teresa Collins ‘Woodgrain’ embossing folder and since it is almost Easter I am making a Easter basket.
You can find the basket here from 3 Under 3 and More.  They also have a nice tutorial on how to assemble the basket.  I increased the size of the pieces to 150% and for all of the strips and the handle after they were cut I used my eBosser and the Teresa Collins ‘Woodgrain’ embossing folder to give the pieces the look I wanted.  The bonus of this embossing folder is I did all of my pieces in 1 single pass which is a real time saver.

Blast from the Past! Candy Wreath for Halloween!

A great project from our past from Jan Hunter!!! Loving Halloween!

Jan is back with another beautiful project! I am loving Wednesdays! Heck I am loving every day of the week! Please leave Jan some love!

Hi all.  This is Jan and I'm back this week with one more idea for Halloween.



This is a relatively easy project with just a few basic items a lot of crafters will likely have on hand.
You'll need:
Sharpie Markers
6 or 8" wooden embroidery hoop
Paper Twist
Halloween Peppermints SVG File (from MissKateCuttables.com)
Electronic die-cutting machine and associated software
Hot Glue gun and glue sticks
Adhesive
Cut a piece of Paper twist about 2 inches longer than the circumference of your hoop.  Untwist the paper twist and smooth out a bit.


Wrap the twist around the hoop -- securing to the hoop with glue gun. You want to be able to scrunch and do a little shaping for dimension.  


Now, set that aside while you cut all the embellishments for your wreath.  For a 6 in wreath 48 candy cut outs will work perfectly.

Once everything is cut, choose your colors and start spraying each of the elements as desired.  (HINT:  run pieces through a sticker maker - and you'll have more control over the pieces and less likely to have really inky fingers at the end of your spraying time.)  Once all the pieces are sprayed, you can layer them and they'll be ready for applying to the wreath.


While you have your eBrush out, grab a marker of your choice (mine was purple) and spray the wreath.  Don't forget to spray the back too.


Now put all your embellishments on your wreath (the adhesive on the back of the candy elements will hold temporarily while you get everything where you want -- use a glue gun to secure. You can add a little bling with some shimmer mist or glitter if you like.   



Add some string or ribbon to hang or just lean it up against a wall or in the bookcase for a nice touch.

With the rest of the winter Holidays fast approaching, I'm betting your heads are swirling with ideas on how you could make a holiday wreath for you home or as a gift!

'Love' Tag

Cut 'n' Boss Design Team: Pam Bray Cycle 10

Pam Bray has created a gorgeous tag, just in time for Valentines Day! See how she used Hazel & Ruby's products to create an old world feel! 



Hi it is Pam here today sharing with my Love Tag using Hazel and Ruby Wrap It Up - Maps of the World Paper and Craftwell Cut N Boss Machine.


 I began by first covering a premade tag with the Maps of the World Paper...
 and then inked the edges using both Wild Honey and Barn Red Distress Ink. 
I painted some of the Maps of the World Paper using DecoArt Quinacridone Red and Quinacridone Gold Paint.
Cut out a small heart from the Maps of the World Paper once it is dry and set to one side.
Using your Cut N Boss die cut one of the Honeycomb using white paper that has been distressed with Wild Honey Ink.


Add Honeycomb to the top of tag...
Place small metal frame to front of tag, add letters to the inside. Add ribbons to the bottom of tag along with flowers and ribbon bow. 
The lacy flower is made from a piece of stained ribbon...using a thread and needle do a running stitch at the top of the ribbon, pull tight to form a circle, and secure with a knot...add a button to the center. The rosette is a circle that has been cut using a 3" circle die, Maps of the World Paper and Cut N Boss,  torn to form a spiral, using tweezers....start from the out side of the circle spiral roll up and then allow it to release itself a bit, glue to center of spiral to form rosette. Place both to the front of the tag. 


Add wood chip arrows to the top of the tag that have been stained, add heart that you set aside to top of one of the wood chip arrows. I hope you enjoyed my Love Tag and make sure to check out other inspiring projects on the Craftwell Blog as well as our other products offered in the store.

Mixed Media Mini Album

Ebrush Design Team: Peggy Oliver Week 6 Cycle 1

Peggy Oliver Starts us off with a cool mini album. She is using a great "Plastic" paper from Atlantic Papers with her eBrush! Beautiful!

Hello! Peggy here to show you how I used my eBrush to help me creare this mini album cover.
Todays supplies used:
Craftwellusa eBrush
Atlantic Paper Evolon 168gm 
Chipboard covers
 Spectrum Noir Markers
Gesso
Molding Paste
Crafters Companion Stencils
Homemade Stencil
DCWV cardstock
heat gun

I started with a blank two piece front and back chipboard cover.
I desided since the Atlantic Paper was tear proof I would use it to cover the entire Mini album including the spine. I would create the inside pages with cardstock last.
Next with the Eiffel Tower stencil. I gave the stencil a thin later of molding paste.  I dried this with my heat tool and placed my stencil in the same position on top of the molding paste to give it some color with my eBrush. Using my trigger gently I was able to get the effect I was looking for with little effort.
I cut up some patterened paper and randomly glued pieces on the front. I gave this a wash with watered down gesso to tone it down a bit. Next I brought out the stencils again this time City trees for the back cover. Using my eBrush and Spectrum Noir markers I sprayed my trees and building. And again with torn paper randomly placed.

I once again placed my stencil back on the original sprayed image to give a two toned effect.  I also pulled out a homemade stencil and molding paste leaving random dots.
Another stencil called The big apple helped to fill in space. I eBrushed again with Spectrum Noir markers also using a second layer of color for dimension.
I fussy cut images from designer paper and glued them in place.
Next I created pages from heavy cardstock creating my own envelope style page with pockets.
All done...

Altered Clock

eBrush Design Team: Terri Sproul Week 4 Cycle 1

A neat altering project using the eBrush!

I love going to Thrift stores and find things I can make new again.  Last week I found this clock and had to have it


Snowflake Clock 




Directions: 
1)  Take Clock apart 


2)  Remove Clock hand and clock face 

3)  Spray using your Ebrush and Spectrum Noir BT7 on the outside of the glass - leaving the center clear.

 

4)  Spray center of glass with a Light color I used Spectrum Noir TB3 with my Ebrush 
5)  Add clock face and hand back on.  Love the way this turn out
6)  on the Front piece of glass I spray using the Dark Spectrum noir BT7 around the outside and then add snowflake stickers 




7)  The side of the clock is metal, and I spray that with my Ebrush (it's is amazing what you can do with your EBRUSH)  using Spectum Noir BT7
8)  Finish by putting your clock back together and enjoy.  I can't wait to display this at Christmas Time at my house.

Halloween Candy Wreath!

Hauntingly Fun Halloween Home Décor

Lisa has done it again! She has brought us another beautifully created grouping! 


Hi, and welcome to the Craftwell Blog!  Lisa here today, with some hauntingly fun Halloween projects to share with you!  If you love Halloween and are looking for a few frightful ideas for your home décor, I've created some easy to make projects using the eBrush!

I had a blast creating these Halloween Home decor projects with the eBrush, a few items from my craft stash that were waiting to be recycled, White Vinyl and Sharpie Markers.

My post is rather heavy with photos to show step outs, so grab your favorite cuppa and join me, as I show you how I transformed my pieces using the eBrush


Using your electronic die cutting machine and die cut the SVG files you would like to use from White Vinyl or card stock.  I prefer the vinyl as it will easily attach to my projects.


Apply the Witches shoes cut from Vinyl to your bottle


Working on a Non Stick Craft mat, use a Silver Sharpie and the eBrush to spray your bottle


Completely cover the bottle, let dry


Remove Vinyl and embellish as desired.  Be sure to seal your bottle, bottle should be hand washed only.


Apply Vinyl die cut to Mason Jar as shown, use the eBrush and a Black Sharpie to add color to the jar


Completely cover the die cut vinyl


Dry completely and remove vinyl.  Seal jar with sealer, jar should be hand washed.


Place vinyl die cut over coaster as shown, use eBrush and Silver Sharpie Marker to add color


Cover entire area

Let dry, and remove vinyl.  Seal before using


On this second coaster, I had die cut the words from vinyl, and used a Silver Sharpie Marker and the eBrush to add color. Once the Silver was dry to the touch, I used the eBrush and a Black Sharpie Marker to apply color over the Shattered Glass Stencil


The frame had previously been covered with old booknote papers and I thought it would be perfect for this project.  Using the eBrush and Black Sharpie Marker, apply color over the Shattered Glass Stencil


Move the stencil and repeat until the frame is covered


For the inside of the frame, I die cut some text from vinyl as shown

Using the eBrush, and Copic Markers, apply color to the vinyl die cuts as shown.  To protect the other areas from color, I covered them with scrap paper


 Continue adding color as desired, allow vinyl to dry

Apply Transfer tape over color vinyl and adhere to scrapbook paper


 Finished Frame

Using stencils, add color to the paper mache pumpkin using the eBrush and Sharpie Markers.  I used Neon Orange and Orange.  Allow to dry, seal the pumpkin so it's easy to keep clean.  Embellish as desired.



After using the eBrush to add color to the pumpkin, I added color to the vinyl die cut words using the same method as I did on the frame and adhered it to the pumpkin.




Supplies:
  • eBrush - Sharpie Adapter
  • White Vinyl, Transfer Tape
  • Sharpie Markers - Silver, Black, Neon Orange, Orange
  • Copic Markers
  • Miscellaneous Die Cuts, cut with electronic cutter
  • Stencils
  • Non Stick Craft Mat
  • Pattern Paper for frame insert
  • Frame (covered with booknote paper), small glass jar, coasters, paper mache pumpkin
