Design Team: KimberlyRae Forde Week 2 Term 3

Earth Day Challenge Week: KimberlyRae Forde

We are back with our Earth Day Challenge Week! And let me tell you, the ladies of the Design Team are really doing some amazing creations!

Check out today's by the lovely KimberlyRae!

Happy Earth Day, Everyone!

I love this day, it means we are going to 'plant' this weekend, usually a New Jackson and Perkins Rose to our rose garden.
We don't always recycle our trash- you know keep three separate trash bins and all that jazz but we do 'reuse' many things like paper!  I've reused packing paper to make a puffy flower which is a magnet as well.  So after it's used as a decoration and gift wrap it can be used Again for a magnet.

Instructions
Gather up your packing paper - you know the kind that your goody orders come in and stamp it all over.  Wrap gift.  Wrap with ribbon.
1. Ok, now cut 2 pieces of 12x12 inch sheets and iron the wrinkles out on low heat, no steam.
2. Using the spray adhesive, spray one paper on one side and place the other paper on top of it.  On a hard surface, press down with your hand or a brayer, until adhered.
3. Load in eCraft and locate and cut 6-2.5" petals from SD card [see above flower file] and use these settings:
 1-2  pressure
no tabs
CCS [card stock stabilizer]
4. Create Petals- Spray all Flowers on both sides.  Let Dry.
5. Put aside one full flat cut flower [this will be your base].  Then, starting with one flower, fold in half, adhere hot glue and fold again.  Do this 4 more times.
6. On top of your base place one of your Five petals in a + setting.  So, one puffy petal across from the other and same way on the other side.
7. Your last puffy petal glue it up and place in the center.  One puffy flower completed!
8. Cut 1.5" Circle and adhere to the back of your puffy flower.  Then place the cardstock scrap on CCS and anchor with piece of masking tape.  Cut circle shape and adhere to back of flower base.
9. Adhere a the magnet  on back of paper circle.
10. Wrap the 2-6" pieces of wire around the skewer and pull gently to shape and adhere on both sides of the ribbon knot.
11. Adhere the magnet with hot glue [letting it cool a tad before adhering] on the ribbon and gift wrap [this way, when the gifted takes it off they just have to remove a lil dollop of glue and stick to fridge]!

That's it and You're  Done!

All eco-friendly and a pretty gift!
