Owl Gift Bag

Ebrush Design Team: Mitsyana Wright Week 6 Cycle 2

Hey Crafty Friends... I'm here bring you another project for team ebrush with our awesome sponsor Latina Crafters!! I love this owl stamp! I think this little owl trio is just corky!! And they always seem to bring a smile to my face. So I decided to use them to decorate a gift bag... because who says that stamps only have to be used on cards?!!

Supplies Used
Ebrush (Craftwell)
Some Birdy's Birthday (Latina Crafter)
Spectrum Noir Markers (CG3, CG4, OR1, OR2, TB1, TB4, TB5, LY3, CT2, GB3, GB5)
Cupcake Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug- Once Upon A Princess Set)
Spellbinder Nestabilities Fleur de Lis Squares
Canson 150lb Illustration Paper
Patterned Paper (DCWV- The Great Vacation Stack)
White Cardstock
Momento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad (Tsukineko)
Small Gift Bag
Grosgrain Ribbon
Button
Glue Gun and Glue Stick
Scissors

I start off with stamping my Latina Crafter's Some Birdy's Birthday Stamp with Momento Tuxedo Black ink onto illustrator paper... this paper is made for manga illustrators that generally use alcohol ink markers. It is very heavy weight and dense so it keeps the ink from bleeding so much.
I colored in my image with my Spectrum Noir Markers. For the Blue parts I used TB1, TB4, & TB5. For the Orange parts of the body and wings I used CT2, GB5, & OR1.
For the beaks and feet I used OR1 & OR2.
For the Green parts of the birthday hats I used CG3 & CG4... and for the Yellow parts I used LY3, CT2, GB3.
I embossed a cupcake background from a 4.75"x6.25" piece of regular white cardstock.

Then I ebrushed my embossed cardstock with the same colors I used to color my image (with the exception of the yellows). I did it in sections at a time starting with the lightest of the colors and using the darker toward the edges.

Here it is with the rest of the colors filled in.

Then I used my die to cut out my ornate square from patterned paper and then again used the same die to cut out my image.

I trimmed away the scroll work off my image die cut.

I then ran it through my Xyron 3" Sticker Maker and adhered it to the blue cut out making it looked framed.

I quickly ran my ebrushed background panel through my Xyron 5" Create-a-Sticker...

And adhered it to the front of my gift bag, right above the fold line. I didn't all my hard work to get smashed in the crease of the bag. And if the recipient want to store the bag it would fold easily.

I used foam adhesive to the back of my image and added it to the front panel.

I then tied a double loop bow and hot glued it to the front of my bag. Then I immediately glued my orange button to the front of my bow.

At the last minute I decided I wanted matching tissue paper to go with my gift bag... but all I had was white tissue paper... which was just fine by me!!

With the help of my decorative edge scissors, in this case a Zigzag edge, I cut the two ends of my tissue paper. I then ebrushed the cut edges with OR2. Just doing the ends gave it a nice ombre effect... and I love it!!

And here is my finished gift bag...

I hope you enjoyed today's project!!

Happy Crafting and THANKS for stopping by!!

Owl of Us Birthday Card

Ebrush Design Team: Mitysana Wright  Week 5 Cycle 2

Mitsy Project is beautiful! Please check below to see how you can join  with Craftwell and Latina Crafter to celebrate a Blog Hop too!

Hey there crafty friends!! Latina Crafter is Team eBrush's awesome sponsor for the month of June!!
And today I get the privilege to share with you a super cute card I made with their ridiculously fabulous stamps and stencils!!

I mean, how stinkin' cute are these owls??!!

Tools & Supplies Used
eBrush
Latina Crafter's Some Birdy's Birthday Stamp Set

Latina Crafter's Stencils Cumpleaños Stencils

Cut'n'Boss Machine by Craftwell
Spellbinder's Nestabilities Classic Ovals Large
Xyron Creative Station w/ 9" Permanent Adhesive Refill Cartridge
Spectrum Noir Markers (GT1, GT2, HB1, HB2, LY2, GB3, LG2, CG3, GB7, TN4, BP1, BP3)
Momento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
Bazzill Basics White Cardstock
EK Success 3D Dots
Modeling Paste
Blue Painter's Tape

I started off by stamping my owls from the Some Birdy's Birthday stamp set with Momento ink pad in tuxedo black.

I then colored in my stamped image using my Spectrum Noir markers.

I used my Cut'n'boss machine and my oval Spellbinders dies to cut out my stamped image.

I set the image aside and taped down my white cardstock I had pre-cut to A2 mat size (4"x5.25"). The tape helped to minimize warping.

With my Stencils Cumpleaños I applied modeling paste over my white cardstock with a used gift card I had just laying around. Sometimes there's no need to buy a special tool when you have things laying around the house that will do the job!

I removed my stencil (and rinsed it immediately) and let my stenciled modeling paste dry.
When dried I peeled my tape off.

Next, with my eBrush machine I airbrushed with my Spectrum Noir markers. I used the same colors I used to color my image. Started with the light colors first then ebrushed my darker colors along the edges.

Modeling paste adds a bit of weight to paper, and since this was going on a card I wanted it to be secure. So I ran it through my Xyron Creative Station.

Then I assembled all my pieces.

I really loved working with modeling paste and Latina Crafter's stencils... and ebrushing it all and the color and texture it has reminds me of frosting on a cake!!

This was so  much fun to make!!

I hope you enjoyed today's project!

Ebrushing Paper Pieces on Glossy Cardstock

Ebrush Design Team: Mitsyana Wright Week 4 Cycle 2

So adorable paper piecing project shared by Mitsy today! I am a fan of all of her polished work.

Hello crafty friends...
For today's project I have ebrushed paper pieces. Usually when I ebrush my paper pieces I almost always start off with colored cardstock.  Today I tried something  different from my norm... not just because I'm using all white cardstock but because I using white GLOSSY cardstock!!

Tools & Supplies Used
eBbrush (with SN adapter)
Graduation Owl (KaDoodle Bug Designs)
Glossy Cardstock
Spectrum Noir Markers (EB3, TN3,OR1, IB4, TRUE BLACK, CG4)
Alpha Embossing Folder - Teresa Collins' Girls Best Friend Collection (Craftwell)
Xyron 5" Create-a-sticker
Stitched Pennant Stamp- Stitched Greetings (Pink and Main)
Smarty Pants Stamp (Pink and Main)
DCWV- The Countdown Stack
Lime Green Cardstock
3D Lacquer
XS PITT Artist Pen (Faber-Castell)
EK Success 2-way Glue Pen
VersaFine Onyx Black Ink Pad (Tsukeniko/ Imagine Crafts)
Sizzix Zigzag Frame Die (retired)

Now, why glossy, you ask?? Well, here's  reasons I used glossy as opposed to regular matte cardstock...
1. Glossy cardstock is... well, GLOSSY!
It gives your work a very pretty shine and gives your projects, overall, a very "professional" look.
and...
2. When you color glossy cardstock it makes your colors more crisp and vibrant...At least that's my opinion, anyway.

Here is what the process of ebrushing my paper pieces looks like...

1. I start by using my electric die cutting machine to cut all  my pieces from my glossy cardstock.
2. I used Spectrum Noir EB3 to color the head, body, and wings. Staying toward the outside of the pieces so my ebrushing gives the appearance of highlights.
3. With Spectrum Noir TN5 to color the mask area of the eyes. Again working around the edges of the piece. ebrushing a few layers over the ends to deepen the color.
4. I used Spectrum Noir IB3 for the irises of the eyes. This time shading the whole piece.
5. Back to the same color for the mask of the eyes but only working around the edges. They look like two different colors completely just by differing the amount of layers.
6. I used Spectrum Noir OR1 to color the feet toes and beak. putting an extra couple layers on the beak... again making it appear like a different color.
7. I ebrushed the graduation cap and the centers of the eye in Spectrum Noir True Black. Working around the edges of just the cap because I want it highlighted in the center.
8. Lastly, I used Spectrum Noir CG4 for the tassel and bow.

I used my glue pen to adhere all my pieces together...
And, as a final touch I hand drew eyelashes and put a few coats of 3D Lacquer over the centers of the eyes.
This was going on a card front and wanted it secure enough to hold all the weight of all my pieces. So I quickly ran it through my Xyron Create-a-Sticker. Making it nice and secure.

Added all my element to the front of my card and with stitched ribbon tied a bow!

And here is my finished card!!

Hope you enjoyed my run down on how I make my paper piecings!!
