Airbrushed Oscar Award

 Hello team,

This month, I've gone with an edible Oscar award made of fondant. The Oscar award theme cake needs a trophy topper, hence I handmade the award using fondant and airbrushed with Craftwell eBrush using gold luster dust mixed with lemon extract.

Painted isomalt cake

Hello everyone!

This time I'm with a different project using Craftwell eBrush. It's a painted isomalt cake.
I began with baking a small 4 inch caramel cake and frosted with buttercream. Later used Craftwell airbrush and siphon kit loaded with teal airbrush color. I airbrushed little by little like a patch on the cake and gave a quick scrap over the cake to get the painted effect. 

Then I made a isomalt topper to give the glass effect. Attaching the picture here:

Unicorn Cake

Hello everyone!

My post for this month is a cute unicorn 🦄 Cake decorated using Craftwell eBrush with siphon kit.

I started by baking a cake and frosting it, then set them up for designing. Main feature of the unicorn 🦄 was the single spiral horn. To make the design, I rolled out some fondant into a spiral horn and placed it on a stand for airbrushing. Here I used the siphon kit and airbrushed it with an edible gold color.

Social Distancing Baby Shower

Hello everyone!! Berina here on the Craftwell blog today, with the decor I made for a Social Distancing Baby Shower in the parking of our local park.


A few of us decided to throw a surprise baby shower for one of our friends, who's expecting a baby girl. It was low-key because of the corona breakout. We had week to plan and execute it. I made the banner and a star garland for the decoration. Since it was in a parking lot, we hung the banner between 2 cars. For the banner, I got a free printable from one of the websites, printed it and cut it out. I had the golden color alphabets, which I bought sometime back from Michaels. To add a little more interest, I die cut butterflies using the die set from Crafter's Companion on gold mirror card stock and adhered it to each banner flag. I used a golden colored thread to string the banner. For the space between the words, I die cut stars using the die set from Brutus Monroe on the same gold mirror card stock and adhered it in between the words. 


For the star garland, I die cut stars of different sizes from pink cardstock, the banner background print out, gold mirror card stock and gold glitter card stock. I used the fishing line to thread the garland.

I also made this framed piece - my friend shared this idea from Pinterest, in which I wrote all our names (the original plan was to make everyone present to sign their names, but COVID happened!). I die cut the circles for balloons from 3 different colored card stock and adhered them all down on to poster board.

Unicorn cake and Cupcakes for my daughter's first birthday!!

Hello its Swathi here from Cookies Cake n Love. Hope everyone is safe and sane during these testing Pandemic times. We have been locked at home now for a little over 3 months now. My baby girl turned 1 last week and I felt even though we were midst of a pandemic, I wanted to make her birthday memorable for us as well as for her when she looks at pictures when she is older.

So we decided to do a socially distanced birthday party with our friends who have been at home like us for the past three months. I decided on the unicorn theme hoping something magical like the unicorn will happen and save us from this pandemic.



I made a biscoff cookie cake and cupcakes with biscoff cookie butter filling and white chocolate buttercream icing. I made few fondant accents for the cake and cupcakes. I let them dry for sometime before I applied color.



I colored them gold shade of US cake supply airbrush color using my Craftwell eBrush with the siphon system. The gold was kind of tricky to apply as it clogged up the tube of the siphon kit. I later diluted the gold color with a little water as I dint have alcohol with me at home. It was a little runny and light but I let it dry for sometime and colored two more coats to get a brighter shade.


Thank goodness for my Craftwell eBrush, other wise it would have taken forever to paint these small fondant accents. Since the weather was a bit humid in Kansas, I dabbed it with a little powdered sugar to make the accents dry quicker.

Congratulations Grad!

Hello everyone!! It's me Berina here today with a Congratulations card!


I recently made this card for a lovely high school graduate for her graduation!! I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels die set for the label. I gold embossed the Congratulations, which is from a stamp set from Unity Stamps. I started by adhering black card stock on to the card base. I added a strip of double sided adhesive tape along the border leaving a 1/8" margin. Then I adhered gold foil on to it. I then adhered white card stock in the center. I adhered the black die cut label on to it. The graduation cap die is from Whimsy Stamps (now retired). I added outline with gold metallic marker. I cut a strip of paper and rolled it and tied it with a golden thread. I adhered the graduation cap on the top right and the rolled paper on the lower left. That's it! It's pretty easy to make and it is elegant too!! I used the Cut N Boss for all my die cutting. I just love it! I can sit on my chair and just push the cutting plates through it!

Dainty Nest Eggs by Heather Wilson


Springtime is finally here guys! And that means it's time to decorate with flowers and bright colors of nature! Here is a little something I made to bring the beauty of spring inside my own apartment...

 Materials
Nest:
Hot glue
Aluminum foil
Floral tape
Artificial Flowers
Found items (moss, grass, sticks, feathers, wool, etc.)

Eggs:
Ebrush
Golden paint
Clear Acrylic varnish
Ebrush siphon adaptors
Polymer Clay 
Part One: Nest

 Start out the nest by shaping a strip of aluminum foil by fitting it into a little bowl. Remove carefully and tidy up the nest rim by folding down the edges of foil. Have your hot glue out to fasten down the ends of foil that want to stick out.

 Next, it's time to cover up the foil with your nesting materials. I just used whatever I happened to have on hand; wool, dried moss, and feathers. I used the softer materials for the inside of the nest (fine moss and feathers), like a real bird would do. Use hot glue to attach these to the nest.
 The fun part is finding things to decorate your nest with to make it look extra pretty! I made vines by twisting floral tape into long ropes, then curling them around my pinkie to make curls. Yellow flowers really made the nest stand out. I embellished it with leaves and a few beads too.

Part Two: Eggs
Start by rolling plain white polymer clay into egg shapes in your hand, then follow the baking instructions on the package. Give them plenty of time to cool off before painting them.


Next, it's time to get your Ebrush and siphon kit out! Thin your gold paint a little with water before starting. Remember to clean your siphon well after using it.
After the paint has dried, put a couple coats of clear acrylic varnish over your painted eggs.

 
Now all you have to do is find a place to tuck in that cute little nest!

Getting into the eBrush for the New Year!

Happy New Year's Friday! Looking back and sharing great Techniques! Yolie Burke!

I am so excited to share another great card from  Yolie Burke! This is an incredible card filled with great techniques!


Translation: "There is calm after the storm"



Hello and welcome, this is Yolie.  Today I am sharing a quick and easy card to make using the eBrush and Sharpie markers.  Here are a few of the supplies I used:


I first eBrushed the colors of the rainbow; I set the setting to high on and eBrushed over the white cardstock three times with each color.  My purple marker is low on ink, therefore I didn't get the airbrush look, but that's OK.  I love how it turned out and how it's the brightest color, but then again purple is my favorite color. ;)

After I eBrushed my rainbow, I inked the grid stamp with gold metallic ink and stenciled the hearts with gold metallic modeling paste.
I then cut a piece of acetate to create the banner; stamped the sentiment with StazOn black ink, added a bit of gold twine and adhered it with mini glue dots.
The sentiment translates, "There is calm after the storm"
