Pumpkin Shaker Magnet

Hi Everyone!

Katie here with another project and it's perfect for fall or even Halloween.

This was a joint project, I worked together with my sister as she was going on a Disney Cruise with her husband and kids, and they signed up to exchange gifts with other families.

So I suggested the idea of making pumpkin shaker magnets to make it special, festive and inexpensive. Also she needed to make about 10 of them.

Materials

eBrush Airbrush System
Sharpie markers
10 Wood shaped pumpkins (from Michaels)
X-Acto Knife
Orange cardstock
Double-sided adhesive foam tape
Variety sequins pack (from Amazon)
Halloween nail art kit (from Amazon)
Acetate sheet

For those who don't have those fancy electronic cutting machines to cut-out your designs (that's us), the designs were cut-out with a X-Acto knife and be careful! For the acetate sheet, cut shapes similar to the pumpkin (don't worry you can use scissors).

Took the eBrush to airbrush both the wood pumpkins and frames with just using an orange and green shade from Sharpie.

The fun part (at least I think so), assembling the shaker and have fun choosing the inside pieces (my sister had her daughter help).

Here's the finished product:

Hope you guys like this project and get inspired to make your version.
Happy Halloween!!

Katie

DT: Dia de Los Muertos and Halloween crafts

 Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:
For this post, I made three different crafts to celebrate Halloween and Dia de los Muertos:

For Halloween, I made these candle holders using Spellbinder dies and my SNAP:

note: for the Volleyball, I cut out one of the cats from the dies cut and replaced with a BoBunny die instead. I gave that candle holder to my daughter's team coach.

Every year, I go to a friend's house to celebrate Halloween and we bring our children Trick or Treating, however, with COVID, we decided to send each other goody bags with candy to each family:

Thus, I made some tags using a spellbinder treat bag tag die, and many of the Crafty Chica dia de los muertos stamps and dies, using my Crafty Chica printed paper pad and my SNAP.

I also fussy cut some of stamped images from Paper Wings, some die cuts from Fun Stamper Journey (triangle banners), and HeroArts (banners):

I ended up making more than 30 tags. Here are some examples:

Front and back:

Front on the L side and back on the R side:

I also made some Dia de Los Muertos cards for some friends of mine using my left over die cuts and fussy cuts:

October was a very stressful and busy month. So, what do I do when I need to relieve stress?

CRAFT!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy projects and please make sure to visit my blog for more inspiration and to follow me.

Happy November,

and stay safe from this pandemic.

DT: Spooky Halloween Tag/Card

 Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:
With Halloween around the corner, I made this tag/card for a dear friend of mine, who always sends me cards:

 and this is the backside:

I bought this TH dies a while ago, but haven't done any halloween projects in a while, thus, I decided to give them a try while I was keeping an eye on our AHG troop pumpkin patch:

I'm amazed about how long the SNAP's battery last. I really love that I can take it everywhere I go and can do my crafting projects.

In short:
I cut the wood grain cardstock (HeroArts)  first with the circle die and then, with the owl die I cut the outline. I cut a complementary circle using the orange distress cardstock (TH) and layered the cuts:

Later, I cut the sentiments from the same wood grain cardstock, distressed with a bronze ink (HeroArts), and let them dry. Meanwhile I added some black stickles to the owl's eyes:

When the sentiments die cuts were dried, I passed them through the Xiron to add adhesive, while I distressed the orange background of the tag. I cut the edge strip of the Mischief cardstock:

In short, I used the printed card stock with Belle and the books, which coordinates perfectly with the die, and cut it out using my SNAP for the mini-album project. I used one of those left-over cuts for making this card, by cutting the printed cardstock to fit in my card. I stamped the sentiment using HeroStamps ink and I also stamped the background for the inside of the card, stamping another sentiment in top. For extra spunk, I added rhinestones from Queen & Co and popped up the Belle die cut and the stamped sentiment. Super easy...

Spooky Ghoul Scrapbook Page

October greetings my ghouls and goblins! Desiree, of Her Own Fairytale,
here with you! SO excited for the new season and Halloween!!
Also delighted to share an 8x8 Pastel-O-Ween, inspired scrapbook page with you!

I started this project off right! I did a little die cutting with my Craftwell SNAP machine!
The dies I used are from Michaels, it's a cute little set of two dies, I only used one though,
Since I am in-love with Craft Smith's Pinkaboo, paper stack you know I HAD to use it again!

After the die cutting. I did some image cuts on my electronic cutting machine, and then did some paper-piecing too. In this pic I just wanted to take in the vibe I wanted to go for...
Oh and here is when I decided I needed to do some eBrush shading, and which the Sharpie was used.

Things were coming together nicely I thought, I needed some depth, POP DOTS time!!
Also the shading with the eBrush was done on my die cut coffin embellishment, I love it!

I had decided at the last minute that my title needed a little something extra! Yeah!
So I brought out this baby, the WRMK word punch! I love this thing! I punched out the
word GHOUL... coz well, that's the kind of thing you do at Halloween. Right?!

And here she is! The completed scrapbook page! Spooky Ghoul and ALL!
I used some blingy spider stickers also found at Michaels.
The frame and bat bow were from images cut with the electronic cutting machine.
I hope as always you liked what I shared today! I hope you were inspired!
Please come back often as my fellow DT members are full of all kinds of amazing
and share it here often!
Before I go, I wish you a magical October and IF you are into the tricks and treats of it all,
I hope you have the happiest of Halloweens!

Creepy Cute Keepsake Box

Hello everyone, Desiree’ with you today!

To share a ”Creepy Cute”, keepsake box.
That I altered, I began with a heart shaped balsa wood box from my stash.
I covered it with  a layer of white gesso.
Next I traced around the bottom of my box, and around the lid,
then I cut it out of my patterned paper.
Since I wanted to be able to remove the lid easily I did not want to
add anything extra under the lid! So I put the lid on the box and measured
the space from where the lid ended to the bottoms of the box.
I cut 2 paper strips out of my 12x12  paper.
Cutting the down to fit on 1/2 of the box.
I painted the lid, and some embellishments, at this point I decoupaged my paper on too!
Next, I knew I wanted to use my eBrush for some shading.
And so I did. Love my eBrush! I decided to use a deeper color to shade with and I loved it.

Next I added the embellishments I altered! And was done!

The design is pretty simple. I realize it may seem too soon for "creepy" projects BUT my social media feeds have been full of new releases and Fall everything!
I hope you will understand I just HAD too! LOL
As always I hope you found some inspiration here and are having a very blessed week!

Spirited Away Bath Token Chocolates - FREE PRINTABLES INCLUDED

SPIRITED AWAY "BATH TOKEN" TREATS:
A STUDIO GHIBLI THEMED HALLOWEEN!

Hello everyone!  My name is Judith Kim, a new Craftwell Design Team member, coming at
you with a cute idea for your Halloween this year!

As a fan of the animation studio, Studio Ghibli, I thought it would only be appropriate to create some treats & decor in the theme of the famous film,
Spirited Away.  I mean, just look at those visuals!

There is a scene in the movie when a character, No Face, gives the heroine, Chihiro or Sen (she has two names; long story!), a bunch of bath tokens for her chore.  These bath tokens are not necessarily important in the film, but they registered as 'CHOCOLATE BARS' to me!

They have the perfect dimensions for it!  You can make them large to fit a full-size candy bar or just use the printables provided to create (4) mini candy bar boxes perfect for
a couple of the mini size chocolates!

ALL YOU'LL NEED:

RED CARDSTOCK
SCISSORS
EXACTO KNIFE
BRUSH PEN
GOLD METALLIC TAPE
DIGITAL DIE CUTTING MACHINE*
LASER PRINTER*
HEAT TRANSFER FOIL - GOLD & BLACK*
LAMINATOR*
(* = optional)

  1. a. ) If not foil laminating - Print out the templates provided onto red cardstock & cut out the templates with scissors or your digital die cutting machine using the SVGs.  The template provides (4) chocolate boxes for mini-size chocolate bars only.  Scale up to create for full-size bars.
b.) If foil laminating - Use a laser printer to print out the templates with "FOIL-PRINTABLE" on red cardstock.  Do not cut out the templates yet.  Pre-heat the laminator.
  2.  a.) Once all the templates have been cut, use the metallic gold tape & brush pen to create the designs on the bath tokens.  There are SVGs of the designs if cutting with machine.
b.) Cut out strips of gold foil for the circles, triangles & diamond shapes.  Cut pieces from black foil to cover the stripes.  Place on the printed cardstock and run through the laminator.
  3. a.) Glue the tabs on the sides to form a flat box.  Close with the top tab.
b.) Once cooled, take off the remaining foil.  Cut out the templates & glue the side tabs.  Close with the top tab.
  4. TADA!  NOW YOU GOT BATH TOKENS FILLED WITH CHOCOLATE!
AND THAT'S IT!

Here are some soot spirits grabbing their fair share of chocolate!

Hope you enjoyed this concept!  And I'll keep you updated on the latest of my Studio Ghibli themed Halloween here: http://designdotexe.tumblr.com/

Thanks everyone! :)

Mummy's the word.... Jan Hunter!!!

Isn't he cute?  We used a shelf from a broken bookcase unit as the base for this recycling project and with the help of the eBrush, some markers, painter's tape and a "stencil" made with some mesh and cardboard, and a scrap of vinyl, this Halloween decor project can be completed in a couple of hours!
Let's get started:

Prep the board - TIP:  I'd suggest a thorough cleaning and a light sanding to take off the finish of the shelf.  If you use sharpies, the alcohol paint has a tendency to be a little sticky for a while, especially if you're having to spray several layers of color.  So be sure to let it dry.

Mask the board with painters' tape in the desired patterns.  We just winged it - leaving a space for odd sized eyes - I cut a couple of vinyl circles using some circle dies in the Cut- n- Boss.  Burnish the vinyl on the board just enough to make sure that the ink doesn't bleed into the white space around the eyes.

Now the fun begins... using the eBrush and some Sharpies, begin to fill in the spaces.  I used black for the larger "face" portion and gray for the space between the "wraps."  Let dry for a little bit, then remove one "wrap" at a time.  Using the stencil, lightly spray with a brown marker.  My color was pretty light when it first went on.  You don't need to fill in every space... leaving some openness adds to the charm, IMO.

Add some details around the eyes if desired, I'm still contemplating adding a little more blue/gray around the edges and possibly a little bling that will show up while this sits with his companions on our porch the next couple of weeks.
Using a light touch, spray with a sealer -- and let dry for several hours.
Thanks for stopping by.  Stay tuned there's lots of fun stuff ahead!  You can see more eBrush projects on my blog too.
