Faith Over Fear - Art Journal

Hello there! Desiree' sending everyone best wishes and hoping you all are well!
It has been a crazy time the past few weeks and we all have been through some things!
Right? Ugh!! I am here today sharing a couple of my very first Art Journal pages!
I recently bought my very first Art Journal and I am loving it!!

I got the smaller one by Ranger Ink and Dyan Reavely! She is so inspiring!
So since the pages in this journal are not white I decided to gesso them.
Once that was all dry, I made a cloud edger out of some cloud shaped dies I have
using my SNAP machine of course! I also cut out a very pretty label die from my stash.
I then used my cloud edger, my Sharpies and my eBrush and made a storm cloud background.
On the second page I made a cloud shape at the bottom of the page.

Next I used my electronic cutting machine to cut out some files I made, using fonts from my computer. And an editing program.
I then eBrushed a silver "halo" to highlight my fancy frame die cut and wrote my sentiment by hand.
It isn't perfect BUT that is okay! Right? I then eBrushed teal around the die cut.
Then I glued down my cut out image using wet glue. I also wrote a beautiful Bible verse to look up to read and comfort me when I might feel afraid. It comforts me.

Here is a pic of the completed pages! I am new to Art Journaling and I find it therapeutic and
comforting! I LOVE the effects I was able to archive thanks to my eBrush!
If you have never art journaled I suggest trying it and if you do not have an eBrush, go on and get one! They are so much fun!

I always hope that my post inspired you! I hope you all are well and that things are back to normal
soon! Until my next post, stay blessed!

Love and Luck Tag

Greetings my fellow crafty makers! It is that time of the year again!
You know when the shamrocks and clovers, and luck are in all of our
dancing in our heads! Oh wait. Holiday mixup! My bad! LOL
Anyways... todays project is inspired by St. Patricks Day!
It is simple, but I hope inspiring!

I used my believed eBrush for mist of the project actually!
So I started out with a die cut of a four leaf clover.
Next covered the back of this cut with some Zig 2 Way glue, and let it dry.
Once the two Way Glue dried 'i had a piece 'i could unstick and stick again.
Here's is what the glue looks like before it dried. Once dried it is clear.

After the back of the cut dried, I placed it on my tag and did some eBrushing around the clover.
I wanted to pull attention to it, and I think I accomplished after that.
Next I wanted to do a gradient of sorts, so I eBrushed some deep and lighter green all over the tag.
After that I took off my prepositional clover and hand wrote a sentiment,
I also punched out some tag enforcers? Anyways I punched those out in gold.

Something was missing I felt, so I took the negative part of my die cut and randomly eBrushed
it onto the tag. I liked the effect. Hope you all do too! AND because I love glitter!
I added some chunky star shaped glitter!

The next thing I did was add a few sequins! Because? GOLD! It needed more gold!

The next pic is the final project! I even used my eBrush and Sharpies to color my white seam binding
green! I made a lil' bow on top and was done! I hope you all enjoyed seeing what I made!
As always I hope you all were inspired! I hope St. Patricks day is amazing for you and that this month is full of blessings!
As always! Much crafty love!!!

Spooky Ghoul Scrapbook Page

October greetings my ghouls and goblins! Desiree, of Her Own Fairytale,
here with you! SO excited for the new season and Halloween!!
Also delighted to share an 8x8 Pastel-O-Ween, inspired scrapbook page with you!

I started this project off right! I did a little die cutting with my Craftwell SNAP machine!
The dies I used are from Michaels, it's a cute little set of two dies, I only used one though,
Since I am in-love with Craft Smith's Pinkaboo, paper stack you know I HAD to use it again!

After the die cutting. I did some image cuts on my electronic cutting machine, and then did some paper-piecing too. In this pic I just wanted to take in the vibe I wanted to go for...
Oh and here is when I decided I needed to do some eBrush shading, and which the Sharpie was used.

Things were coming together nicely I thought, I needed some depth, POP DOTS time!!
Also the shading with the eBrush was done on my die cut coffin embellishment, I love it!

I had decided at the last minute that my title needed a little something extra! Yeah!
So I brought out this baby, the WRMK word punch! I love this thing! I punched out the
word GHOUL... coz well, that's the kind of thing you do at Halloween. Right?!

And here she is! The completed scrapbook page! Spooky Ghoul and ALL!
I used some blingy spider stickers also found at Michaels.
The frame and bat bow were from images cut with the electronic cutting machine.
I hope as always you liked what I shared today! I hope you were inspired!
Please come back often as my fellow DT members are full of all kinds of amazing
and share it here often!
Before I go, I wish you a magical October and IF you are into the tricks and treats of it all,
I hope you have the happiest of Halloweens!

Owl Love Whoo Forever

Hi, Today I am showing a card using a coloring book image cut and colored.
Supplies used today are:
Alcohol Marker
Cardstock
Ribbon
Patterned Paper
Easy background coloring made in a jiffy. I colored my focal image with alcohol markers and outlined some of the leaves and left parts white/blank. Then I used my eBrush to color in all the white areas. I could literally get a fine mist of color onto my paper and it took about 10 seconds!.

I cut and layered all of my patterned paper onto thick cardstock card base and placed some ribbon and within 15 - 20 mins I had a card ready to mail off.
Have a great rest of your week!

Using the flower die, cut out the flower (using construction paper) and the fringe (use the tissue paper).

April Flowers by Peggy Oliver

Hi Peggy here and today I am going to show you my handmade flowers using my eBrush and background paper using my Cut n boss electronic embossing machine.
Supplies used today:
markers
cardstock
stamped sentiment
ink
gel medium
flower punch/flower petals hand cut
water
glue/tape
floral wire
I started with my flowers and petals. I eBrushed (sprayed) with alcohol markers to get different effects on each petal. Some were light on the outside and some not. Then I sprayed water on each petal and formed my petals with the bottom of a pen and rolling some over a pencil and squishing the ends to create a more natural form. Breaking down the fibers with water and a pen help to form the petals more easily. I let them dry before placing them all on top of each other and fitting them with some floral wire for stamen and gluing the centers in place.
Next, I chose some complementary colors of cardstock and quickly embossed them using my Craftwell embossing folders and my Cut N Boss electronic embossing machine. I cut them all down to size to make this Thank You card.
I taped and glued everything down and for a final touch, I painted the tips of my flowers with pearl metallic mica powders and gel medium.

Have a great day! Check out the store on the Craftwell site here: http://www.craftwellusa.com

Tool Book for all of your Craft machine needs! By Heather Wilson

This is a little guide book I put together as a reference for my crafting tools. In this, you can put in samples of each cut-out and texture that can be made with the Cut n' Boss, color references when you need to find just the right shade with the eBrush, and more! Instead of taking time away from crafting to test your materials, this book will have everything you need to use as a reference right now!

Materials:
A notebook
Decorative paper
eBrush
Cut n' Boss
die cuts and embossing folders
Sharpies
Gluestick
Hot Glue
Double sided tape

The journal I picked has blank pages on the right, and note taking pages on the left, which was perfect for what I wanted! However, I didn't like the cover, so I picked out some decorative paper and traced around the book for a fancier look. Cut 2 separate pieces for the front and back.

Leave extra room around the tracing of your book cover for folding neatly over the sides.

Make creases where the folds should be. The folds for the edges is similar to wrapping a present.

I wanted the inside cover to be decorated too. Cut a piece of paper slightly smaller than the book itself, center, and glue. Next glue the outer cover and edges down.

Cover the binding edge with a piece of ribbon wide enough to reach the  edges of the paper. Hot glue sides of the ribbon to the edge of the decorative paper. Do not put glue directly down the center of the ribbon, otherwise the book won't open properly and the ribbon might come off.

Now you can practice and experiment with your Cut n' Boss! I started by coloring in different embossing patterns.

Attach the embossed paper with double stick tape.

Next I moved on to the die cuts, and used my eBrush to make them look pretty! For some of these I had to use a glue stick to attach to the paper.
While I had my eBrush out, I filled a page using all my different colored sharpies!
And there ya go! Don't forget to add to your book as you find new techniques.

revisiting!!! Amazing Home Decor Project by Peggy Oliver

Hi! Peggy here, today I made a wooden decor item.
Supplies used today are
Wood platform
Vinyl

I started with a thin piece of discarded wood roughly 12x11. I layered a thick coating of thick white gesso with a large acrylic paint brush. I was able to create lines that simulated grain.
Next I used two colors of fluid acrylic (titanium white and carbon black)  I randomly used my paint brush as well as my eBrush to create this worn fence or board look with the grain and direction completely different than the original piece of wood.  I used my siphon with my eBrush to spray diluted paint with water to my wood piece in white to tone down the look.
I let the layer dry. I painted the lines across to separate what looks like boards and added marks where rusted nails may have been.

I used my cutting machine to cut out this saying in Vinyl and placed it in the center of my board using transfer paper.

Check out this machine!! Christmas must have for any crafter. The possibilities are endless with the siphon adaptor you can use paint or ink to spray to your heart's content or just use the adaptors that come with your machine and use your markers that you already have.
