Mixed Media Friendship Card

Hello there! Linsey here today sharing a quick and easy card with big wow appeal! It's a great card to have on hand for everyday, friendship, encouragement or congratulations. I enjoyed the mixed media process on this card, it was quite therapeutic and uplifting. I hope the positivity translated into the card itself. Come and see...
I was happy to have 2 reasons to use my trusty SNAP Machine, a compact version of the awesome Cut'N'Boss electric die cutter and embosser. It's perfect for smaller projects like cards takes care of my dry embossing and die cutting in one shot. LOVE. After creating an embossed base panel by running my ivory cardstock through the SNAP, it was then painted over with a layer of gesso. After drying, Gelatos were used to create the gold and pink watercolor smear, then set aside to dry completely. Next, the feathers/banner dies and cardstock were run through the SNAP and cut. Once again, gesso first on the feathers, then gelatos. A spritz of bleach was sprayed on top of the feathers for an interesting effect. Tied with a bit of gold string and placed atop the finished background, which was adhered to the card base, with the edges a little distressed as well. "You're Fabulous" was stamped in gold, then heat embossed on the die cut banner. Greeting was adhered to the top along with a few pretty sequins for sparkle.
And that's all for me! Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share my card! It's been fun! Until next time, happy Craftwell crafting! 😊
