Single layer fun!

Ebrush Design Team: Jan Hunter Week 8 Cycle 3

Hi everyone.  Jan here to share a fun single layer card front -- could also be turned into a 6 x 6 canvas with just a few adaptations.....

Single layer cards have been a challenge at times, but this one went together quickly!  And it was FUN!

You'll need:
Crazy Birds Stamp set (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
Water color pencils
Card Stock
staz-on ink (gray)
ink pad (light brown)
watercolor brush
Sentiment stamp (Be a Blessing Collection - Latina Crafter)
Stencil (Puntos - Latina Crafter)
eBrush
background stamp (retired-Stampin' Up!)
Sharpies
Sakura gel pen
Stamp the bird on your card stock.  You can go ahead and fill with color as desired.  I used watercolor pencils and a watercolor brush to blend the colors.  Let dry.  If desired, highlight here and there with a Sakura gel pen.

You can stamp and cut a second bird as a mask.  Spray the back with repositionable adhesive and lay the mask on the bird.

Now the rest of the fun begins.  For my background, I chose a "wordy" background stamp and using some brown ink stamped it on the card - with the mask in place.

Next I picked 3 complimentary colors of markers and using the eBrush and the Puntos stencil added a bit of color randomly... moving the stencil as needed.  Stanp your sentiment -- this set offers lots of options....

I also used a marker  and the eBrush to edge the cardstock and trimmed it just a tad  - this will be matted and placed on an A4 card base for gifting to someone special.  How's this for a non-traditional Valentine's Day card?
Hope you'll make some time to do something you enjoy this week.  Have fun and do something creative!  Feel free to drop by my blog to see more projects created using the eBrush.
