Home Decor Plaque

We have another beautiful home decor project! Today Liz (Unik By Yes) is sharing a beautiful display plaque using the 'Beautiful Words' folder by Teresa Collins!

See her tutorial below!

Liz here to share with you a home stretched canvas created using the Teresa Collins Love Words Embossing Folder.

The story behind:

I have been hooked on the chalk effect for the past few months and when I saw the TC Love Words EF I knew I had to try the "Faux Letterpress Technique" using Black Gesso and White Gelatos. Since I tend to change my decor quite often I am always looking for "timeless" pieces that could easily be relocated around the house, I think this one fits the bill don’t you?

I went for B&W because I really wanted the message to stand out, and it matches my craft space colors. If you try this at home you could use any colors that suit your own decor J.

Since I could not stop I created another one to go on our “family picture wall” -hopefully to be finished soon *wink* wink* -

Creative Supplies:

Teresa Collins : Love Words Embossing Folder
Unfinished wood frame ( mine is from Michaels)
Unbleached Muslin ( about 4 “ larger than your fame so you can wrap it around the edges) (Got mine at Joann’s but pretty much any fabric store carries it)
Liquid starch, Iron and Ironing board
Black Gesso
Faber- Castle White Gelato
Black acrylic paint ( for first canvas only)
Chalk Fixative
Clear Finish ( Krylon Matte Clear Finish)
Foam brush and small brush for detailing
Heavy Duty Stapler and Staples
Black card stock to close back of frame when finished
Scissors, ruler and pencil
Masking or painters tape
eBosser

Craft Level: Intermediate
Time: 3-4 hrs due to drying time
eBosser plate combo: ACD + Standard Embossing Folder

That is it for me! I hope you feel inspired to create something unique with your fabulous eBosser and TC Embossing Folders.

Happy crafting!

Liz
