Team Craftwell: Jazmin Gibbons Week 5 Cycle 8

Thanksgiving Mantle Decor

Debi Tullier was out of town demonstrating the amazing eBosser in Houston helping out Janome at their Quilting show!  So, she enlisted Jazmin Gibbons to help cover for her today! See what Jazmin created using the eBosser & Cheery Lynn Dies!

Hi everyone! I'm covering for Debi and I'm loving the opportunity I get to work with Cheery Lynn dies! I have been busy making my yearly Thankful Mantle, and I decided to make an easy centerpiece that looked classy yet drew your eye to it.

Supplies:

eBosser
White cardstock
Cheery Lynn Dies/ Lace edger
Vase
wheat stems (Hobby Lobby)
 scrapbook paper
leaf stamp & Teresa Collins "Memories" damask stamp
green & brown ink
die cut frame (ecraft)
tape
Xyron Tape Runner

I used the Ankara Lace edger by Cheery Lynn and cut two pieces from white cardstock.

The combination to cut Cheery Lynn dies on the eBosser are as follows:
D, B, C, magnetic shim, die (blade side up) paper, metal shim, and A plate.

You can see a video here. It just doesn't include the metal or magnet shim, but it still works!

I filled a vase with lentils, and some rice for added harvest feel and bought three wheat steams at hobby lobby to fill the base.

Once the vase was filled, I positioned a piece of cardstock horizontally and glued the lace edges (cheery lynn die cutouts) on the top and bottom of the paper.

Lastly I stamped my leaf on white cardstock and hand cut the leaf (for a more realistic feel) and glued on a piece of frame cut out I had that I cut from the eCraft. I stamped the frame as well for added interest.

The result is simple but classic and it looks very sweet. This project took me about 5 minutes which was perfect because I was already stressing about getting my home decor up after a crazy Halloween!

I hope you liked my project!
