Hello Everyone, I’m excited to be back for another term here at the Craftwell Blog. I’m also excited for this month’s projects as we will working with Teresa Collins embossing folders. I really love her folders, they are so cute and can be used for just about any paper project you make.
I was invited to a baby shower for a friend who is having a baby girl, if you know me you would know that I LOVE creating cute little stuff for girls! So I decided that I would go shopping for a cute little outfit and come home and make a headband and card. If it wasn't for my toddler crying and screaming I could have stayed in the baby department all day, sooo many cute clothes to choose from anyways,,, I came home with a cute little sleeper and I used some felt and the ebosser to cut some cute little felt flowers. I love creating with felt and I especially love how well the ebosser cuts felt, makes it so much easier than hand cutting all the flowers.
After I finished the headband I wanted to make a card that would go with the gift, I knew exactly what look I was going for and I knew that Teresa Collins “Sophisticated” embossing folder would be the one! I just love this folder, makes any old plain paper look wonderful! I used embossing ink pad to go around the card and add a little more color to it, I think that color brought out the embossing. I added “baby girl” to the front of the card and my card was made.
I was so happy with the finished project and now I’m ready to go to the baby shower! I hope she likes it!
