Design Team: Caroline Duncan Week 10 Cycle 7

Santa's Helpers

Dogs are family. So when we saw Caroline Duncan's cute puppy layout, we instantly fell in love! See how she created this cute scrapbook page to document her doggies helping her out during the holidays!

Hi Everyone!  I have a 12x12 scrapbook page to share today!  These pups are my little Jack Russells and they love to help me do everything, including decorating the tree last year!  Good quality paper like the American Crafts Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste Collection can be used to make wonderful altered pages in addition to the traditional methods of scrapbooking.  The pattern in the paper adds really nice interest to my now inky background.  You can see the hearts of the paper in the lighter inks.

I sprayed and stenciled the base 12 x 12 “Infatuation” sheet from the collection.  After it was completely dry, I stamped the holly along the top and right edge only because I will make a companion page to go on the left side of my album and I’ll continue the holly stamping to tie the two pages together.  Then I used bits of the “On the Edge” paper inked with Salty Ocean Distress Ink behind the distressed areas along the edges.  My trusty eBosser handled the die cutting of the over-sized Grand Labels One dies with such ease to make a layered photo mat area on my scrapbook page with the Amy Tangerine papers.  I added a touch of background script stamping on one die cut for interest and a couple of the Amy Tangerine pieces from the “Remarks” Sticker Book before securing the die cuts in place.  To finish the page, I used an enameled idea-ology number blotted with alcohol inks on the turned back corner, an Amy Tangerine Vellum Pocket to hold a #8 inky tag I made for journaling, and American Crafts glittered “Cecily” Thickers.
