Design Team: Caroline Duncan Week 4 Term 6 CHALLENGE WEEK

Eat Cake

It's Challenge Week all week here at the Craftwell Blog! This week we challenged the Design Team to create a card inspired by a beautiful cake! See how Caroline Duncan answered that challenge below!

Hello Crafters!  Our Design Team Challenge for this week is to make a card inspired from a photo of a cake.  I found lots of pretty cakes all over the internet, but The Creative Cake Academy has some amazing creations and this photo of the mini cakes decorated with daisies really caught my eye.  It was a great starting point for a spring time card!  I embossed a piece of green iris shimmer sheetz in my eBosser, which I sanded to highlight the embossing,  and then die cut the daisies also in my eBosser.  I love die cutting in my eBosser because it makes super quick work of it because I can use all the dies in the set at once and cut 2 pieces of card stock at the same time.  Secure the daisies with sugared brads and add some organza ribbon to finish the card.  Looks good enough to eat I think!
