With the warm sun coming out to play the last few days, I feel that SPRING is finally here! I wanted to make a cute decoration that would be a daily reminder to us that spring has arrived, so I decided I would make a cute spring garland. This project was so fun to make, maybe it’s because of all the colors I used!
The first thing I did was pick out a few different colors of scrapbooking paper, I tried to stick to “spring” looking colors. Then, I took the eBosser and the Spellbinder Eyelet Circle die and cut out a bunch of circles big and small. The eBosser had no problems running 4 pieces of scrapbooking paper all at the same time. The burlap circles were cut with the eBosser and the Sizzix circle die, loved how easily the eBosser cuts the burlap.
After cutting all the circles I took the burlap and I stamped on “SPRING” with some green Acrylic paint, let them dry and then glued them on to the medium circles.
I still thought something was missing so I decided to add an extra step, I took the “Delicate Dots” embossing folder from Craftwell and decided I would emboss the big eyelet circles. It was so simple to do all I did was
position the embossing folder between platforms ‘A’ & ‘C’.
The dots defiantly added something extra to these circles!
I used some pigment ink and gently rubbed the pad on the paper so I would only ink the dots. After that I glued them all together and spaced them the way I wanted on the ribbon, I added some extra flowers that I had from the framed flower project I made a couple of weeks ago. I think it turned out cute... what do you think?
Thank you Celeste!
