Craftwell Tutorial Series: Print Instegrams

Jazmin Gibbons: How to Print Instegrams without Photoshop!
Hello eCrafters, and Welcome to another easy Craftwell Tutorial!
Do you Instegram? Of course you do! And how can you not?! Instegram makes the most plain tiny photo into a picture worth of scrapbooking! And that is what Jazmin Gibbons from Team Craftwell has been doing!
See how she prints those beautiful everyday photos, and uses them to scrap some adorable pages!

Follow her tutorial, below:

Hi everyone! So excited for today's tutorial! I have two adorable kids, and I take tons of pictures of them every single day on my phone. Then I discovered Instegram and it was all over for me!

I'm obsessed with it!

What I love about Instegram is that the pictures I take are total candids of my kids everyday life, and that makes for some serious scrapbooking inspiration!

But here's the deal, how the heck do you print them without photoshop or spending money on those new printing sites?

Well, thanks to a friend, I downloaded a cute little program called: PHOTOSHEET, found here.

And now I print tons of my instegrams on 4x6 photo paper!  But lets get to the part, where I tell you how to do it!

It's super simple!

Step 1: Download PHOTOSHEET, and install to your computer.

Step 2: Instegram lets you save the cropped pic on your phone. I have a droid by Att, and I go through all the steps of editing my photo on instegram, but before I hit upload, I select the "go back" arrow '<' and this saves my picture onto my phone's memory.

Step 3: Email pictures to myself and save on my computer.

Step 4: Drag and drop my pictures onto PHOTOSHEET and set the size of my photo to 4x6, with each picture measuring 2x3. This lets me add 6 pics onto one 4x6 photo!

Step 5: PRINT and scrapbook or smash!

Here is me cutting some of my Instegrams to Smash onto my sm*sh book, that I simply adore!

Here is a picture of my latest layout! All cutouts are created by the amazing eCraft!

I used Laina Lamb Office Essentials SD card to cut out the polaroid frame for my tiny pic!

I hope you liked my tutorial! Please leave me a comment if you have any questions!

Spring Fling UTEE Flower Embellishments

We are missing a green thumb, so we are thrilled to see all these lovely flower projects by our sweet Debi Tullier! See how she will make these little flowers last, and last!

Well having a love of flowers has lead me to experiment with making paper flowers a little bit more lasting. I have seen so many lovely flower projects. I decided to try to coat my flower with UTEE to see if I could use them for other use such as earrings, buttons, and other uses. I love paper now and love the looks of it. (especially the Signify Pink paper packs) So I began my experiment.

  • Craftwell eCraft Die Cutting System
  • Signify Pink Glimpses Spring Fling
  • SVGcuts Bachelor Button File
  • Ranger Melting Pot
  • Ranger Melt Art Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel
  • Thread and a needle
  • metal stylus for handling hot media
Just a reminder..
SignifyPink – Glimpse’s paper line is the best. They are selling out on some of their best paper packs and accessories right, so get on over to their site Right NOW!
Wholesalers - www.signifypinkwholesale.com Don’t have a wholesale account yet? They’ll get you set up and fast!
First I cut out my flower files. I love how quickly the
Craftwell eCraft cuts out my projects and allows me time to play with my projects.

I used the Melting Pot to melt the UTEE. I was so excited to see how to make it work.
I have laminated fabric and so this is just as exciting to me.
First thing was a huge mistake. I made up my flower and dipped it into the UTEE. It made a gloppy mess.
Not the separate petals I wanted only a mass of UTEE on the paper pom pom I created.
I decided to try it layer by layer and it worked!!
I formed the petals after dipping each layer in the UTEE.
I used some heavy cotton thread and a large hand needle to construct my layers into flowers.
That way I could use them in sewing and jewelry projects easily.
Now I have some beautiful moisture resistant blossoms to use in my projects.
I love them. I will keep you posted on how I use them in up and coming projects.
See how beautiful the lumpy one is on the craft table top the ones on the paper are so beautiful
you can barely see the UTEE on them. I can’t wait to use them.
Hope your Summer is filled with fun and love,
Debi

Aren't those flowers adorable? Imagine a Christmas garland created using this method!

Baby Mama Mini Album

KimberlyRae's Daughter is about to POP! And she is getting spoiled until she does! See what KimberlyRae created for her today!

HiHi Crafty Friends,
Ok, I know by now you all know my youngest daughter is expecting in August, right?!   And I just think that 'mama' needs a lil something , too.
Karissa, has not had the best pregnancy time ever and she's so pretty and stylish and I wanted to give her something that she would make her  'smile'!   So, I'm hoping this will do the trick!  A card that's a little mini album she can put some of her favorite pregnancy pics in and just see how pretty she is!  This pic is one of my favs of her at 7 months!   Doesn't she got that cute baby belly?

I used Glimpses by signifypink the 'Sweetly Chic' Paper Collection!

and my only electronic die cutting machine the Craftwell eCraft!

and

patterns from Kate's Silhouettes SVG Collection kit by SVGcuts

 My project!

Instuctions

First, cut 6"x12" card base.   Then, 5.5x5.5 piece cardstock and then 4.5x4.5 cardstock piece [sew this one to the 5.5x5.5  piece].  Adhere, the pieces in the right corner, on cardbase.
Then, Cut  the SVGcuts files for the expecting Mama.  Embellish with flowers, journal cards [I used the cards for photo mats], stickers and bling [provided in the paper kit] from SignifyPink.

Details

Center was created to hold two pics or more tiny pics;  if desired.  Stitching drawn around each mat and flower made from 1" circles and button [provided in the SignifyPink paper kit, also].  On the back is personal signature made from Punkin' Patch Stamps Stamp and a coordinating  jewel [not shown].

Flower was created with my handmade crinkle ribbon and a brad [provided in the paper kit] adhered by running a 1" circle cardstock through my Xyron sticker maker.
That's it!  Easy Peasy and total cuteness ;)
Thanks for poppin’ in and looking around!   As always I love your comments!

Patriotic Table Centerpiece

Get the grill ready and the table set, 4th of July will be here before you know it! And we must have lemonade, kababs, and of course a beautiful centerpiece to pull it all together, like the one Kim created today. See how she did it below!

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays to decorate and make crafts for.   Using Glimpses by Signify Pink's line "Pages of Honor", I created a fun, patriotic decoration for my kitchen table.

Supplies:
-eCraft
-SCAL3
-Glimpses by Signify Pink's "Pages of Honor" - Pages of Honor Dog Tag Embellishments, Set of 4;  Pages of Honor Scrapbooking Kit; Pages of Honor 6x6 Paper Pad
-SVG Cuts - Made In The USA SVG Kit (children silhouette); Christmas Gift Boxes and Bags (Star Bag)
-Xyron Mega Runner
-Pop Dots
-Black Cardstock

First I cut out the Star Bag from SVG Cuts "Christmas Gift Bags and Boxes SVG Kit" at 11.3 inches wide and the Star (2 of them) at 11.3 inches wide.  I scored the bag liner and then assembled the Star Bag using my Xyron Mega Runner to adhere everything together.

Next, from the SVG Cuts Kit "Made In The USA" I cut out the children silhouettes and elements (7 inches wide) from the Happy 4th Card with my eCraft and adhered all of the pieces together. I then adhered the assembled silhouettes to the left hand side of the star with some Pop Dots.  I used the 3 dog tag embellishments (Patriotic, Proud, Brave) on the right hand side of this card.  The patriotic dog tag is tied to the handle and the proud and brave dog tags are adhered underneath it.

And there you have it, a simply easy patriotic decor piece for your table!  This bag can be filled with anything, I put some red, white, and blue flowers in it that I got at Michael's last year.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  Happy 4th of July! If you have any questions please leave a comment below or in the Craftwell forum.

Happy Birthday Card!

Birthday cards are a must to have on hand! With summer birthdays to celebrate, it is imperative to have some made and ready to go, so that crafting them doesn't take precious sun time! See what Denise created today!

Ever since my son got out of school for the summer, it seems like I have less and less time for crafting! I’m sure all moms feel that way, and although I love my crafting, I so enjoy having my boys with me and doing all sorts of fun things with them. Right before school let out, I realized that I was running low on birthday cards, so I have had birthdays on the brain lately and have been making some birthday cards to replenish my stash.

When I saw the Sweetly Chic collection from Glimpses by Signify Pink, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Now, this collection offers a lot of wedding and anniversary themed embellishments, but the paper is all in black, white and gray so that means you can do almost anything with it. Since I don’t have any wedding or anniversary occasions coming up that require a card, I decided to make a birthday card with it to fill up my stash. Since the papers are all black, white and gray, I knew that I wanted to add a pop of a a bright color.

I decided to use an older collection of SVG files from Lettering Delights called Deliliah Tags. The first thing I did was take “tag2” and place it on my mat in Make the Cut. Then I created the part that I cut out of a black pinstripe by using the Boolean Join feature. To create it all I needed was another”tag2” bottom layer only and a rectangle to get this pretty tag with the decorative bottom edge. I cut that out of the Sweetly Chic paper and the original tag from eCraft Diecutable Cardstock in Bubble Gum and White Flour using my trusty purple eCraft of course.

Once all my cutting was done, I stamped the rose image on my white square in Archival Magenta Hue ink. This stamp is from Papertrey Ink Rosie Posie stamp set and then I stamped the sentiment (from Papertrey Ink Tag-its #10) in black.

Before putting it all together, I added the polka dot paper so that it completely filled up my card front. Love this paper! Now, if you would like to get your hands on some Sweetly Chic (or any of the Glimpses by Signify Pink paper) RUN because they are selling out their stock of these collections and once they are gone….they are gone!!!! If you are a wholesaler, you can purchase from HERE.

I hope all of you have a great week, but before I go….I have a question for all of you.
Am I the only one that is busting out of my seams with excitement that the eBosser is almost here???? We are almost in July and that means the eBosser is right around the corner!!! Can’t wait! Be sure to check back in at the Craftwell blog often to get more sneak peeks and info about the eBosser!

Denise O'Connor

What an adorable card! Thank you Denise for this pretty project!

Psstt!!! Glipses by Signify Pink is closing out their scrapbooking line! Everything must go, and is priced that way!!! Visit their site and place an order before they are gone forever!

Craftwell Tutorial Series: Geo Earrings

 GeO Earrings
Check out how to create amazing accesories for a night out, using your eCraft! Yep, you don't have to run to the mall anymore! You can just use what you have, and get going!
Here is the how-to:
Supplies:
·         eCraft electronic die cutting machine by Craftwell
·         eCraftShop Pro software
·         Elizabeth Craft Shimmer Sheets (ecraftdesigns.com)
·         Beads Landing Chain
·         1 pair of ear wires
·         1 pair of O rings
·         McGill 1/8” hole puncher
·         Xacto knife
·         Chipboard
·         Tape
·         Long nose pliers
·         side cutters
·         Round nose pliers End cutters

1)      Open eCraftShop Pro and select a shape of your choice.
I chose the same shape twice and adjusted the size so one was smaller than the other.
I positioned one shape inside the other like so.

2)      Place your shimmer sheet on top of a piece of chipboard or cardstock for stabilization.
Use a couple of small pieces of take to help keep the sheet in place since its small.
Select a pressure setting of 6 with no tabs.
Feed the paper combination in the machine and press the “send to cut” button on the eCraftShop Pro software.
Note: For multiple cuts of the same image use a larger sheet and use the copy and paste (CTRL+ C and CTRL + V) method to ensure that you images are all the same size and widths.
kj
3)      Use your hole puncher  and punch a whole for the earring wire and chains. Center as best you can and be sure to leave some space at the top (approximetly ¼ of a cm).

4)      Proceed to measure and cut the chains to your liking.  The longest chain I cut was a little over 3 ½” slightly longer than my geo shape. Then I proceeded to cut 4 other ones slightly smaller.
5)      With your pliers open the O rings. An easy way is to use two pairs and open the ring by pulling both ends to opposite ways. Once open start sliding the chains in.
6)      Slide in the earring wire post (for more space use a second O ring. Close the 1st O ring with the chains and use the 2nd O ring to attach the earring wire to the chains).
7)      Slide the chains and O ring into the geo shape and use the pliers to close the ring as much as possible and DONE!

Aren't those earrings amazing? And using the  eCraft Pro Shop, you can customize the shape to just about anything!

Grandma’s Flower Power

The worlds greatest grandma is back! and she make another cute project! See what Debi created today!

Well my Girl is here and we are having a crafting fun fest. My grand-daughter, Reilee is a princess or at least she dresses all the time in princess grab. So we have had a Royal Crafting Day.

It was very nice to have a machine that could quickly cut out our projects so that we could get started fast. My princess loves to craft but her attention is quickly used up. So this was fun and quick.
We decided to create a blossom arrangement for her mom!

My Craftwell’s eCraft die cutting machine helps make our paper crafting experience fun. Also SignifyPink – Glimpse’s paper line is the best. They are selling out on some of their best paper packs and accessories right, so get on over to their site Right NOW!

Wholesalers - www.signifypinkwholesale.com Don’t have a wholesale account yet? They’ll get you set up and fast!

We used two paper packs filled with beautiful sheets, one was “Life is a Party” and the other was a beautiful Black and White medley called “Sweetly Chic”. We took a flower from the Craftwell Fundamentals 1 Card. and used some floral wire and leaves.

We made a vase using the “Sweetly Chic” and an Acorn file that we used as a vase and base. The file can be found here. I also used tiny brads to hold the paper folds in place.

We used a setting of 5 and no tabs selected. It cut very nicely and we got our project together. I love crafting with Reilee. I am hoping that one day she will want to pursue crafting and having fun!
We are working on our fourth of July craft right now. It will blow your socks off Reilee says! She wants to make a basket for her blueberries too! Our work is never done!!

Happy Summer,
Debi

Thank you Debi! How sweet is her grandaughter?! See more of Debi's fabulous projects on her blog here:

A CHARMING Party!

Kim Gaughan has created an amazing party decoration and gift in one! And with that, she has claimed the top spot for Hostess, with the Mostess!

See what she created below!

Happy Tuesday!   Today I have a really fun project that would be great for a hostess if you are going to a party.  Or for yourself if you are hosting a party!

This gift box is great for holding the wine glass charms and a gift card. It also makes a fun table decoration!

Supplies
-eCraft
-SCAL3
-Cardstock/Stickers - Glimpses by Signify Pink - Life's A Party Scrapbooking Kit, 6x6 Paper Pad, Extras Sticker Sheet
-SVG Cuts - Amelie's Accessories SVG Kit; Paula's Boutique SVG Collection
-Epiphany Crafts Tools - Shape Studio Tool Star 25; Button Studio Tool Round 14; Shape Studio Accessories Bubble Caps Star 20; Button Studio Accessories Buttons Round 14
-Fiskars Punches - 1/4 inch Star Hand Punch
-Pop Dots
-Clear Acetate
-Xyron Mega Runner
-Xyron 1.5 inch Create-A-Sticker
- Double Sided Tape
-Blank Bottle Caps - Pick Your Plum
-Jump Rings
-Wire
-Pliers, Wire Cutters
-Two-hole metal punch - Fusion Beads
-Cuttlebug and Supplies

- Martini Gift Box -

From the SVG Cuts Kit, Amelie's Accessories, open the pieces of the Eiffel Tower Box and place them on 4 seperate tabs in SCAL3 at the recommended sizes.  You will not be using the Eiffel Tower for this project so you don't need to open this svg up. Cut out the svg's labeled - box (bottom), top (small square), and lace with your eCraft.

On the tab with the Lid svg, open up SVG Cuts Paula's Boutique Collection and import the Martini Bottom SVG.  Resize the Martini to 1 1/2 inches wide and place this in the middle of the lid svg.  You can also use the SCAL3 Preview button to make sure the martini is lined up in the middle of the lid.  Once it is placed to your liking, you can cut out this lid (with martini in the middle) with your eCraft.

Next, I took my Fiskars 1/4 inch Star Hand Punch and punched some stars out of some of my scrap papers.  I then took a piece of clear acetate and cut it down (with scissors) a little smaller than the top and adhered 3 sides of the acetate to the top piece (small square) with my Xyron Mega Runner.  I then put the punched stars in the opening and sealed it with double sided tape.  (see above picture).

I then assembled the box together with my Xyron Mega Runner and added the "eat, drink & be merry" and "cheers!" stickers with pop dots in the corners.  On the other corners I used my Epiphany Crafts Tools (Shape Studio Tool Star 25 and Button Studio Tool Round 14 with their adhesive accessories) Star and Round 14 Buttons.

- Wine Glass Charms -

For these fun wine glass charms, I first cut out four 1 inch circles with my eCraft.  I then punched out 4 stars with the Star 25 Epiphany Crafts Studio Tool using no epoxies.

I viewed a YouTube video by Sara Sandberg and couldn't wait to try out flattening the bottle caps with my Cuttlebug! That is until, I get my eBosser!  So using her tutorial, I flattened the bottlecaps and then adhered a circle and star in the middle of each flattened cap using the Xyron 1.5 inch Creative Station.  I used my two-hole metal punch to put a small hole in the top of each cap and then attached a jump ring to the bottle caps.  For the wire, I just used my pliers to add a small loop at one end and twisted the wire around to form a funky shape large enough to fit around the stem of a wine glass.  Slide on one of the bottle caps and bend the other end of the wire so it fits into the small loop.

I hope you enjoyed this project! If you have any questions please ask below or in the Craftwell forum!
-Kim

Thank you Kim!!! Did you know you could flatten bottlecaps with the cuddle bug? can you image how easy and how fast you could do the same on an 81/2 by 11 platform on the eBosser?! We can't wait to try it! How about you?
