Design Team: KimberlyRae Forde Week 4 Term 4

Fabric & The eCraft

The eCraft can cut many materials, and one of it's favorite it is fabric! See what KimberlyRae Forde created today!

HiHi Crafters!
Are ya stayin' cool?   Want an easy 'Beat the heat' project to make, today?
Here's one that will sure to be a Cool hit--> make your own Helmet Cooler using Craftwell's eCraft [the only matless] electronic die cut machine and it Cuts FABRIC, too!

Here are a few styles I came up with but you can make them any style you desire and play around with different fun fabric prints as well.

To get started you just need some butcher paper [my butcher gave me some pieces] which you will sandwhich the fabric inside two sheets and iron.

Then using the Craftwell Fundamentals1 Cartridge [comes with eCraft FREE] choose a circle shape and cut.

Viola!   and within seconds you're done with a PERFECT circle, ready to be sewn!
Now, stitch all around the two circles with facing Out.  Leaving a small gap to fill with polymer crystals.
Add crystals and sew up the gap.   Then, with a thicker needle, sew in a pie shapes, circulars, or meander styles...really it's up to you.
Fray the edges.
Dip in Cool water and enjoy the cool inside your hardhat or helmet!
PERFECT for giving to the troops for inside their helmets.
Thanks for poppin’ in and looking around- I hope this tutorial was useful for you!
See ya next week with another project tutorial  :)
Hugs and Blessings,
