Design Team: Debi Tullier, Week 2 Term2

Debi Tullier's Zero Calorie Cupcake!

We have a treat for you all today! Our fabric queen Debi Tullier, created a beautiful birthday card that looks good enough to eat! And can we say, that the result is amazing! And yes, you didn't read it wrong! Debi made this project using paper! Using the eCraft, DCWV paper and Mr Cricut stamps, she put together the perfect recipe, for a sweet birthday card!

Here is her tutorial:

LUSCIOUS NON-CALORIE SWEET – FOR THE NEW YEAR!
Card making looks like so much fun. I have been looking at all of the blogs and sites for paper crafting and I really caught the fever! I am traditionally a fabric person but have really grown to love paper crafting as well. I had the need for a sweet birthday card, so I decided to try my hand at it!  Die Cuts With a View has some really wonderful paper and Mr. Cricut Crazy has some of the cutest stamps and sentiments ever!  For all of you out there thank you so much for inspiring me to try my hand!!!
My project this week is a stand-up card for a good friend of mine who has as her 2012 resolution to give up the sweets. I thought that this would be a “sweet” way to honor her birth! I love her and want her to enjoy her day!

Here’s to you!

This was such a fun card to make.
Supplies:

Here we go! I cut my cards on my Craftwell eCraft. I love working with this machine. I made a stand up card backing and also did the inserts from Collage Musings Paper Stack. I selected my stand up card  to really show off the paper and sentiment.

I used a green type rubber (like a folder) to set my creases. Next I took my 3L Adhesive Crafty Power Tape to attach my pieces.

Next I added my birthday sentiment using Mr. Cricut Crazy ‘s Birthday, Birthday collection

I love how crisp and clean this looks!

Next the Angelina Fiber. I pressed it into a sheet and then placed it on my Craftwell eCraft Cutter and it cut wonderful to make my frosting!

The cupcake paper cup would not look right with out a little twine embellishment. (By the way next week’s project will also have a video showing a brand new way to embellish with your twine!!! I promise you won’t be disappointed, check my post next Tuesday!!)

I love the iridescent glow of the Angelina fiber. I wish I could photograph it  so you could see all of the color sparkles in it! It cuts very nicely in my eCraft too!

I took it one step further and decorated the “frosting” with seed beads hand sewn on.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Remember next week a special posting for you!!!

Can we say, WOW! If paper is not Debi's 'thing' then I bet she can build a car with fabric! Thank you so much Debi, for this beautiful card!

Go see more of Debi's projects on her blog!
