DT: Telephone Box Card

Hi,

This is Veronica from vicky's scrapping passion, sharing with you my next post for Craftwell. For this post I decided to make a Telephone booth box card for my son's 16th birthday. He is wanting a phone for a while, but he didn't have the real need for it and we are delaying the social media as long as we can. Thus, I decided to play a trick on him.

When I saw the terrific telephone treat box kit by Tonic, I knew that it was the perfect die for what I had in mind. I love the English Telephone booth and the color combination is just perfect. This die is meant for a treat box, so I tweaked it a little to make it a box card, by trimming the topper and glue it directly to the top flap.

Some tips to work with this dies:

Use the foam tape included to hold the dies in the acetate to hold in place when die cutting the sentiments inside the rectangle:

I cut an strip large enough to add the "16" crown as a popup element, but forgot to add the extra fold to make it pop up on its own:

This box is so cute that can also hold a tea light LED candle inside:

I was able to fold the box car to put it inside of an envelop with a note, "Enjoy your phone":

At the end, I decided to make the little base included in the kit to use as cake topper as well:

I followed all the amazing instructions included with these dies and kit. This is the first kit that includes such detailed instructions; no need to hunt for videos in the web. Love it

Elegant Baby Shower Favors

Hi friends, Linsey here today sharing my latest Craftwell project with you! I always love the idea of making my own party favors for special events and occasions and the Cut'N'Boss electric embosser and die cutter is the perfect tool for such a project. With summer in full swing, I was feeling wedding and baby shower vibes so I decided to create some pretty party favors for either of these special occasions. These would also work great for a Sunday brunch or afternoon tea with the ladies, placing one at each table setting for an elegant extra touch.

I chose cardstock in an array of pink and purple shades, then dry embossed each piece with the Teresa Collins Bella Rose Embossing Folder. Next, I die cut each piece with a treat/favor box die, then assembled accordingly. Both sides of each box are wrapped with rose gold sequin string and secured in the back. To adorn each box, I added Wild Orchid Craft Cherry Blossoms Mixed Pastel Colors and Wild Orchid Craft Bead Berry Spray Clusters White.

To complete, I die cut 5 mini tags from the Teresa Collins Tabs and Tags Project Dies set and added a clear sticker sentiment to each one, then tied each tag to a floral cluster with Ivory Burlap String. Fill with candy, chocolates or a small gift of choice. These favors are sure to delight and impress your guests, making them feel super special, too. I'd love to receive one, how about you? :)

Embossed Mini Pizza Box Favors

Hi Craftwell friends! Linsey here today sharing my latest project with you. Do you enjoy making your own party favors for special occasions? I sure do and these mini pizza boxes were the perfect blank canvas for my party favor decorating desires! Such a fun and easy project--perfect for kids and adults alike!

I wanted to keep the design clean and simple with crisp white cardstock so that the dry embossing would really pop. I had a great first experience with the brand new SNAP Machine Electric Embosser & Die Cutter! It's so easy to operate and comes in a compact and portable design so you can use it anywhere you like, including where space is limited. I used Teresa Collins 2-Pack A6 Folders, Twill Herringbone & Preppy Houndstooth Embossing Folders for the bases, then embellished each box with a variety of Spring stickers, satin ribbon and mulberry flowers.

For a final touch, I used 2 scrap pieces of previously embossed cardstock to make a tab from Teresa Collins Tabs & Tags Project Dies and added a coordinating sticker to each die cut tab, then placed at the top left corner of each box front.

Blast from the Past! Pam Bray does the Trick or Treat Candy Box!

Happy Halloween!!!! Pam here today on the Craftwell Blog!!!

Well in 10 days it will be Halloween so there is still 10 days to make some pretty candy packages to give to some of you favorite Trick or Treaters.

Begin by cutting 3 Sizzix Mini Pumpkins out using the Cut N Boss.

Using Craftwell eBrush and Spectrum Aqua Orange Marker, spray pumpkins.

Repeat with Amber...

Shade with the Spectrum Aqua Crimson Marker.

Spray leaves with Spectrum Aqua Bud Green Marker.

Shade with Spectrum Aqua Moss Green Marker.

Die cut a Sizzix XL Scoreboard Cube using matboard and Cut N Boss with both the A platforms.

Form cube and ink all the edges.

Cut strips of pattern paper.

Apply adhesive using Xyron Creative Station.

Ink edges with ColorBox Chest Roan Ink.

Remove adhesive and place on box. Repeat for inside of box.

Run pattern paper through the Xyron Creative Station.

Die cut Honeycomb die from Teresa Collins Memory Pocket Die Set.

Place on card stock, fussy cut around honeycomb.

Place over pattern strips on box sides.

Add pumpkins to sides of box with pop dots.

Fussy cut a small ghost from pattern paper and place on front of box.

Die cut Sizzix Candy Box using matboard and pattern paper.

Place under prepared box to use as box stand.

Punch circles from pattern paper and place on sides of stand.

Here is a closer look at the side of the box.

AND....

the other side with a spider glue to the top.

Cake Pop DIY Wraps!

Hello, Crafty Friends.

A while back my hubby had been asking me to make something crafty to take to work... yeah, who knew guys talk about their wives crafts (especially in the work place). LOL

Well, some time had passed and we had recently celebrated our sons 3rd birthday. It was a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed birthday party and our son requested that I make him cake pops for his party. Well, being the crafty mama I am, I made him special Mickey shaped cake pops. This leads back to hubby, I promise...

You see, hubby saw our son's Mouse eared cake pops and he wanted some too. Well, sadly, there were none leftover. And with Valentine's Day right around the corner, I figured why not! So I made hubby his own batch to take to work for him as his co-workers. Yes, I'm one of those wives that send their hubbies to work with baked goodies to share. It's just like sending your kids to school with cupcakes!! Seriously, it is!

But I just couldn't just send him with pops in a plastic bag or a plain cardboard box... nope, not this crafty wifey!! I had to prettify EVERYTHING!!

Starting with the BOX!!

I cut of the flaps a cardboard box we had just laying around the house. transforming it into a tray.

I used this adorable paper stack from DCWV to cover up the outside of my box. I t was my lucky day because I found a box that 12"x 12" and 4.25" high.

So, I cut my patterned paper into 4 - 4" strips, for the base. And 4 and coordinating patterned paper into 4 - 1" strips, for a border. I used my scalloped edge punch to punch a decorative pattern along one edge. I ran all my strips through my Xyron Creative Station.

Then I adhered them to my box. I used the 4" strip toward the bottom and the border strip on top. This cover the .25" gap that the base strips didn't.

I made adorable decorative embellishments with my TeresaCollins Pocket Dies.

I used my Cut'n'boss machine and the bow and tails die (from the Girl's Best Friend set) to make super cute bows.

I made 2 sets of bows and hot glued them to the from of my box. I also topped both bows with a white button and hot glued them into place.

I also cut out 3 hearts and stacked and glued them onto each other, making it nice and thick like chipboard. Then glued it in place, in between my bows, using liquid glue.

I also die cut 3 arrows to go through my heart... because what is a Valentine heart without a arrow going through it??

Now, my box is complete... and SUPER CUTE!!

But, I didn't stop there! Nope, had to make my pops equally as cute!!

Again, using my Cut'n'boss machine, I cut out fishtail flags and these this gorgeous Teresa Collins script die. This one says "love", perfect for the Valentine theme I'm going for.

After cutting out flags and words, I used 2way glue to attach each word to it' flag. Then hot glued them onto my cake pop sticks.

I made a few different ones, but they are all "love" themed and coordinated with my box.

Here is the finished box of yummies that hubby took to work.

And what do you know, it came back empty!

Well, at least I still have my super cute box!!

Valentine's Day gift box

Ebrush Design Team: Yolie Burke Week 8 Cycle 3

Happy Friday, it's Yolie with Team eBrush sharing a quick Valentine's Day gift box.

I used my electronic die cutter to cut the box and to design my own stencil. This is a simple box, you can easily create your own out one sheet of 12"x12" paper. To create the stencil use heart die or a paper punch.

I'm a messy crafter so to protect my table top, I use a large poster board. I used a couple of pink markers to eBrush the white box and cut the word "love" on the Cut N Boss. The word "love" is a die cut by Pink and Main.

Here is a close up of the box. After I took the photos I realized, I should have include the word "love" on all four sides and so I will. That font is gorgeous and the metal die cuts like butter on the Cut N Boss.
