Flower Anniversary Card

Cut 'n' Boss Design Team: Mitsyana Wright Cycle 11

 Hello again Crafty Friends... I hope you all are ready for another awesome project featuring amazing dies from Team Cut'n'Boss' wonderful sponsor, Die-Namites!!

Recently My In-laws celebrated their wedding anniversary... this was whopping #51 for them. Wow, how amazing is that??!!

And I felt a store bought card just would not do. They needed something special. So I made them this lovely card in honor of their wedding anniversary.


And... "life is good"! It has been good enough to bring them together and keep them together!!


Supplies and Tools Used
Teresa Collins Pocket Dies- doily, small 6point flower, life is good (Craftwell)
Xyron 5" Create-a-Sticker
Spectrum Noir Markers (GB4, CG4, TN4)
Cardstock (craft, lt blue/white polkadot, lt green, lt yellow, shimmery white, metallic silver)
Glossy Accents (Ranger)
Embossing Stylus
Foam/ Rubber Mouse Pad


I first start of by cutting my pieces out with my dies and cut'n'boss machine. Because the cut'n'boss has an extra large platform I can cut all my dies at one time... and because it has an extra strong motor I can also cut out several layers at a time. I needed a few of each die except my doily and sentiment so  I needed to make a couple passes... and for this instance I cut my dies cut out 3 layers at a time. This means I only had to cut my flowers again the second time. Yay!! I'm so glad I didn't have to run each die through multiple times... that would be exhausting!


The sandwich I used to cut my dies were as followed...

From bottom to top:
D Plate
A Plate
Magnet Plate
Die
Paper
Metal Plate
A Plate

And TAH-DAH!! It cut like butter!! Man, I love this machine!!


Next I ebrushed my pieces... This is my prefered way of shading all my pieces... with virtually NO DRYING time. 

1.I first eBrushed my Small Ivy( Die-Namites) leaves with my Spectrum Noir CG4.
2. Then layered Spectrum Noir TN4. 
3. In a circular motion rubbed my stylus on the back of my leaves to create dimension.
4. This is what the before and after of my leaves looked like.

Doesn't look like the same piece, does it?!

Now for the flowers...


 1. I ebrushed a small amount of GB4 in the center of each flower.
2. Snipped about 1/4" toward the center of each flower.
3. Applied pressure to the center of flower using my stylus, making sure to put my mouse pad underneath.

I also ebrushed GB4 around the edges of my doily.

I wanted my card to be really strong and I didn't want pieces to fall off ... so, I quickly ran my card mat and doily through my Xyron 5" Create-a-Sticker


Then I adhered all my pieces onto my card. I used Glossy Accents to adhere my leaves, flowers, and sentiment pieces to the card front.

My final result... simple but elegant. Just perfect for my Mother and Father-in -law!!

Hi It's Tyra and I'm back to share a few fun lovelies created with the Teresa Collins Cut'n' Boss featuring Die-Namites Spring Splendor Die! Let's get to the cards, shall we? Craftwell DieNamities Spring Splendor Thanks Card Tyra Babington 
 I created this card simply by cutting out two pieces of patterned paper from the same sheet. I sized one sheet to 4 x 5 inches and added it to my white card base as a panel. I flipped over my second piece of pattern paper to the neutral side, creating a die cut with the Spring-Splendor die. I adhered the die cut flower to the card base with foam tape and stamped a sentiment.   The inking I used on this second card made the flower the star of the show! Craftwell DieNamities Spring Splendor Loved Card Tyra Babington I cut card stock to 5 x 4 inches and blended together three inks. I cut the blended ink paper with a die, and adhered it to a simple white card base with foam tape. Last, I added a simple sentiment and this card was done! In addition to card stock, Die-amities dies can cut foam, thin chipboard, felt, fabric acetate and wood veneer paper. Together the Cut 'n' Boss and Die-Namities make for the perfect combo! Great DIY Wedding Idea

Hi it's Pam today on the Craftwell Blog sharing with you a fun Silverware Holder idea using my Cut N' Boss, Craftwell Embossing Folders and Dies along with a die from Die-Namite.  Die-Namite is sponsoring the Craftwell Cut N' Boss Design Team this month on the Craftwell Blog. 

 I began by cutting two of the Folded Tag Dies out using my Cut N' Boss.  (You can get two Folded Tag pocket dies out of one sheet of paper).

 Once the Folded Tags are cut out, run back through the Cut N' Boss with the Motif Embossing Folder.

 Fold sides in and adhere on the side and bottom to form the pockets with your Mega Adhesive Runner.

 Cut a strip of burlap and place around. (I used the Xyron Creative Sticker MAX because I wanted to have adhesive on the whole piece of burlap.)

 Cut two of the Tim Holtz Tags out so you will have one for each of the Folded Tag.
 Run both through the Cut N' Boss using the Alpha Embossing Folder.

 Die cut six of the blue polka dot papers out to make two roses. (I cut two of the green polka dot ones out but did not use them)

 Cut one petal out of one of the flower shapes, two petals out of another and leave the third whole.

 Using a stylus, tweezers, and a soft mat...Roll and form flowers. So roll the one and two petal pieces you cut out using your tweezers, insert the one petal into the two petal you roll and glue at base.



 Like this...I used Glossy Accent to glue them together.


 Now roll the three and four petal pieces and repeat. Gluing the two petal into the three petal and the three petal into the four petal....For the last flower piece, cut toward the center, using stylus and tweezers bend and pinch to form flower and glue the prepared rose piece to the middle of full flower pieces.

 This is what it should look like when it is all pinched and glued together.
Tie a pretty ribbon around the burlap. Adhere the Folded Tag to the top of the Alpha Kraft Tag. Add  prepared rose when glue is dry to front of Folded Tag with Glossy Accent. Allow it to dry completely.


 Tie a some Aqua Twine around the burlap and tie a gold bow to hold the ring. 

 Cut two sets of the Pompom (DN-1086), one in gray one in pink from the Lawn Fawn Paper Pad. Cut the pink Pompom Buds off place on top of the gray Pompom.

Hi there! Suzanna here today to share a mini tutorial on using an amazing Die-Namites die and the Craftwell Cut'N Boss!



Gather your supplies; watercolor paper, Gelatos, Die-Namites die, Cut'N Boss, watercolor brushes, water, extra paper for a palette.



Cut a piece of water color paper 4 x 5.25 for your card background using a trimmer.

Using the following sandwich, cut your Die-Namites die flower and save the "background" as well as the positive cut image;


On the extra water color paper that you will use as your palate, layer the color Gelatos that you want to use to water color.

Overlay the "background" from your cut on top of the background piece for the card and apply Gelato within the outline shape of the flowers. Keep in mind the look of the finished die. Dip your brush in the water then on your Gelato palate to pick up color and apply to the card background.

Pick up lots of green Gelato and flick green onto the completed background.

Using a pen liquid glue, glue the positive cut image from Die-Namites on top of the watercolored image.

Embellish as you see fit.



Die-Namites dies are fantastic American made dies that cut incredibly well in the Cut'N Boss! There are nice clean cuts and the small detail pieces that you don't need are quickly and easily removed!

For today's project I made this simple yet beautiful thank you card... because we can be "thankful" all year long not just during the holiday season!

Fluffy Branches by Die-Namites




I first used my Cut'n'boss machine to cut both my Fluffy Branches and Thankful dies. I cut the Fluffy Branches out of coral cardstock and the Thankful out of a shimmery green cardstock. Both can be found in the open stock of your scrapbook/ craft store.

To cut my dies I used the following "sandwich" to cut my dies...

From Bottom to Top
D Plate
A Pate
Magnetic Plate
Metal Die
Paper
Metal Plate
A Plate

Since both dies are wafer thin dies and the Cut'n'boss machine has an extra large platform I can run both dies through at the same time! Awesome time saver!! Us moms are always grateful in saving time anywhere we can, right?!

Oh my gosh... cuts like BUTTER!!



Next I airbrushed my die cuts with my eBrush machine and Spectrum Noir Markers!!






Once shaded I snipped one of my flower Die cuts in half and removed the leaf... the other I left alone. I set that aside for a quick second and embossed my card base.

Because , the thickness of wafer dies and embossing folders are totally different I needed a different sandwich combo...



To embossing with my Cut'n'boss I used the following sandwich combo...

From Bottom to Top
D Plate
A Pate
Embossing Folder with Paper 
A Plate


I  gave my pieces a quick run through my Xyron Creative Station... to ensure maximum hold. And pieced my card together. 

Before sticking my "thankful" die cut on I bent it in between each letter so that my word formed an arch. "Arching" my word adds a bit of whimsy to my project... don't ya think?! I then adhered it down with my glue pen. I then made a twine bow and topped it with a button and glued it down with some glossy accents.

And here is my finished card...



This card was just so much fun! And the Die-Namites dies and Cut'n'boss dies and embossing folder go great together... Like peanut butter and jelly I'd say!!
