DT: Lip Balm Holders for St. Valentine's Day

 Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:
For this post, I made a lip balm holders as gifts for my children's teachers for St. Valentine's day:

I used the following materials and dies:

First, I die cut all the holders using the Sizzix dies and used another die set from Sizzix for the embellishments and bookmark.

In short: I stamped the delicate mandala shapes using the CTMH stamps. Then, I laminated the delicate mandalas after stamping a sentiment in the back using the "We are good together" stamp set (I used the "You are Loved" stamp). Later I cut them out using their thin cut dies. I did the same with the tags and "smile" sentiment (I stamped my children's name in the back of the tag) for the other end of the bookmark:

I attached both sides with a foot of ribbon and tied them with knots:

I used my SNAP and Cut'n'Boss to cut everything.

I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy project and please make sure to visit my blog for more inspiration and to follow me.

Enjoy the freezing days

My kiddos playing in the backyard this morning. A total "normal" February morning in Texas...

DT: Dia de Los Muertos and Halloween crafts

 Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:
For this post, I made three different crafts to celebrate Halloween and Dia de los Muertos:

For Halloween, I made these candle holders using Spellbinder dies and my SNAP:

note: for the Volleyball, I cut out one of the cats from the dies cut and replaced with a BoBunny die instead. I gave that candle holder to my daughter's team coach.

Every year, I go to a friend's house to celebrate Halloween and we bring our children Trick or Treating, however, with COVID, we decided to send each other goody bags with candy to each family:

Thus, I made some tags using a spellbinder treat bag tag die, and many of the Crafty Chica dia de los muertos stamps and dies, using my Crafty Chica printed paper pad and my SNAP.

I also fussy cut some of stamped images from Paper Wings, some die cuts from Fun Stamper Journey (triangle banners), and HeroArts (banners):

I ended up making more than 30 tags. Here are some examples:

Front and back:

Front on the L side and back on the R side:

I also made some Dia de Los Muertos cards for some friends of mine using my left over die cuts and fussy cuts:

October was a very stressful and busy month. So, what do I do when I need to relieve stress?

CRAFT!!!!

I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy projects and please make sure to visit my blog for more inspiration and to follow me.

Happy November,

DT: Nurse’s Office Door Sign

Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:
For this post, I decided to use my SNAP to create a door sign for my work:

I got some ideas from Pinterest, but decided to use flowers instead of stars to make it my own.

I wanted to continue the same design I used for my sanitation stations. Thus, I cut letters and Tiles from DCWV Unicorns and Rainbows paper, using the BoBunny larger alpha dies and Tattered Lace dies.

Here are some of the dies and the paper pack I used:

I cut a 7.5 x 7.5 in square out of chalk board paper. I cut 3 pieces (7 x 2 in.) of gold thick card stock to make the frames for the word tiles. For the smaller tiles, I cut 6 DCWV paper rectangles (3 x 1.5 in.) to frame the 2.75 x 1.25 in. black chalk board paper. I glued all frame titles using double side tape to the big chalk board square leaving an upper border to add my title.

Then, I cut flowers, leaves, and the alpha die cuts using my SNAP machine.

Then, I trimmed 2 cards from the cards printed paper to die cut my smily face in gold and the (Craftwell) paper clip heart. I glued them together and glued it to a wooden cloth pin to make my sign marker.

Later, I realized that I should have glued the die cuts separated and on both side of the cloth pin, so remedied that by die cutting an arrow from the left over card and adding touches of black with a marker to emphasize the arrow and I added more black around the heart (not shown), the smily face. I paper pieced a nurse's hat and colored the cross with red gel pen:

Here some closer views of the finished door sign:

Again, I was able to use my SNAP machine while at work and now I have a nice sign to make me smile while I'm working.

I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy project and please make sure to visit my blog for more inspiration and to follow me.

Happy September,

and stay safe from this pandemic.

DT: Fiesta Tissue Flowers

Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:
For this post it might be late, but I wanted to make a wreath for Fiesta (April is Fiesta month in San Antonio, TX), but I ended up spicing up my door previous Easter decor with tissue paper flowers:

These flowers were super easy to make and are a kids friendly craft:

I used these nesting dies and my SNAP:

I might add some colorful paper rosettes to the corners of the doors, but I'm pretty happy with the result so far. Next year, I might do the wreath though.

Please make sure to visit my blog for more inspiration and to follow me.

Happy April & May and stay safe from this pandemic.
