DT: Sanitation Station- Back to School

Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:

For this post, I decided to use my SNAP to create titles and signs for 5 sanitation stations for my work:

I used dollar store containers and chalk board signs/ tags. I cut letters from DCWV Unicorns and Rainbows paper, using the BoBunny larger alpha dies and TH Sizzix dies. Then, I run the words stuck backwards and upside down through my Xyron sticker maker and glued the words to the chalkboard tags:

I even cut some monograms and added them to the mini chalk board signs. I didn't have much time to finish the 5 stations, so I didn't search for medical related dies to decorate further my stations. I will for sure better this project soon.

The end result is cute and very practical. It was a nice project to do quickly using my SNAP machine while at work.

DT: Happy Birthday Card

Dear Scrappers,

This is Veronica, from Vicky's Scrapping Passion sharing my post for Craftwell:

For this post, I decided to recycle a stamped image I made for a previous post and make it a card for a friend:

I had heat embossed the bluebonnet image on watercolor paper and used water colors to paint it. Now I used the colored image and mounted on a blank card using 3D dots.

Tiffany Lamp by Peggy Oliver

Hello! Peggy here, today I would like to show you my Tiffany Lamp.

Supplies used today are:

eBrush by Craftwell USA

Spectrum Noir Markers

SVG File /Cutting machine

Vellum

Cardstock

Wet/Dry Glue Tape

First I cut out my lamp pieces and vellum pieces so I could color them. I used my lamp pieces as a guide as to where to place my color. I found I had a vibrant color if I sprayed both sides of the vellum but both options look great.

Here are my pieces ready for glueing. As you can see you do not need to be precise. I colored red dots according to the lamp design and smudged it with a yellow spectrum noir marker. Then I sprayed the entire piece with yellow.

These pieces are a lighter shade of green and yellow lower middles. After each piece was sprayed and colored the way I liked I glued them into place. The larger tabs I used double sided tape and for smaller areas I switched between crystal lacquer and a glue writing pen.

Next it was time to put the entire top of faux glass together. I used grips to hold them in place.

Here is my finished product! I hope you like it! .. I just love tiffany lamps.. my fav!

DIY Butterfly Tea Bags (Inspired by Designer Yena Lee)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's January 2017 so this means that winter is in full swing!

What better way to enjoy your hot toddy or warm tea than with a little flourish & personal touch?

I got this idea from an amazing design by graphic designer, Yena Lee.

While this is a commercial design, I thought anyone at home can give it a shot!

YOU WILL NEED:

+Cut'n'Boss machine + platforms

+eBrush + Sharpie adapter

+Sharpie Fine Tip markers, choose colors that complement the cardstock

+white paint or whiteout (optional)

+heavyweight cardstock, at least 90 lbs

+butterfly die from Teresa Collins TODAY Die Set

+scissors

+tea bag of choice

PROCESS:

1. I will be using the realistic butterfly tutorial for this project! This time I chose a red cardstock

and complemented the color with magenta & purple fine tip Sharpies.

2. After all the coloring is done, I added some white dots for a bit of brightness.

3. Fold the butterfly in half & use the scissors to cut a heart shape from the middle. The point of the heart will cling onto the edge of the mug or cup.

4. Cut off or untie the tea bag from its paper tag. Tie the twine through the center of the heart so

the butterfly acts as the tea tag.

5. TADA! Now you have a cute, personal butterfly at the edge of your tea cup!

Make a huge set of butterfly tea bags for a party or a gathering to impress your family & friends.

DIY Gilded Birch Tree Centerpiece

The holidays are fast approaching & nothing screams winter wonderland more than birch tree decor!

And thanks to Dixie Belle Chalk Paints & eBrush Siphon, I can make a festive, eye-catching centerpiece with a distressed catch-all dish for mints & such!

For this project, I absolutely fell in LOVE with Dixie Belle chalk paint in Fluff! It was the right shade of bright white with a gorgeous matte finish that birch tree bark is known for.

You Will Need:

+ Dixie Belle Chalk Paint, Fluff

+ eBrush & Siphon Kit

+ Window & tile cleaner

+ Various twigs from outside

+ Scrap transfer foil

+ Exacto knife

+ Plastic serving plate & dessert plate, black

+ Faerie lights (optional)

+ Hot glue gun

+ Cut'n'Boss (for ornaments)

+ Teresa Collins cutting dies, Thankful Holiday & Girl's Best Friend (for ornaments)

1. Assemble your twigs in a way that you like. The arrangement can be in any way possible, but I took some time to make sure the placement looked as natural as possible. Then hot glue them into place.

2. Use an Exacto knife to cut hole in the center of the plastic serving plate large enough for the base of the main twig to fit through. Glue the smaller dessert plate, upside down, underneath the larger plate. Cut an 'X' into the smaller plate as well, push the twig into the hole and hot glue in place.

3. Mix (1) part window cleaner & (1) part Dixie Belle chalk paint. Normally it would be a 1:2 ratio, but I wanted the paint to pool into droplets on the plastic plate. When the paint dries onto the plate, it will look like distressed ceramic.

4. Paint the entire tree & plate. I painted the first layer & waited a few minutes until the paint almost completely dried. Then I painted another layer, waited again and airbrushed the final layer. Layering will give you better coverage on the final piece. If you notice the plate, the pooled paint gives a very nice texture.

5. To create a gilded birch centerpiece, I used my hot glue to add some dabs of glue on various parts of the branches. When the glue was still hot, I used scraps of my rose gold transfer foil to add speckles of foil. Look at some reference for birch trees & birch bark to get an idea of what it should look like.

6. Lastly, as a optional measure, feed the faerie lights through the bottom of the plates at the base of the birch tree, and twist around the trunk and its branches. Cut a small notch on the side of the small dessert plate rim to act as a placeholder for the wiring to feed neatly through. Cut some black cardstock ornaments with the Cut'n'Boss to decorate.

Missing You....

eBrush Design Team: Jan Hunter Week 6 Cycle 3

Moves are hard on everyone. Right now, I'm in "friend" withdrawal with some of my closest friends in another state halfway across the US. Even with technology, it's hard not being able to spend in person time with them.

You'll need:
electronic cutting machine
basic library shapes and font library (rectangle and Lucida Handwriting)
eBrush
Markers (and adaptor - in this case, it's Bic-Mark-its, AD adapter and foam pencil grip hack)
Stencil of choice (mine is from Stencil Girls)
Small Heart punch or a similar shape from the basic library shapes for you machine
White card stock for cuts and for your card base.
Colored or patterned cardstock (3 x 2 inches to go behind the card front cut)

Using your electronic cutting machine, cut your pieces. Set all pieces aside and punch a heart out if you didn't include that with your cutting file.

I chose a monochromatic color scheme for this card, so two purples in a mid and dark tone. Using the card front and the stencil, color the front using the eBrush. Spray lightly. Set aside.

With the darker toned marker, spray the word "missing" and run through a Xyron X machine for easy application to your card front.

Place the colored paper behind the YOU and adhere. Add the card front to the base and using the X apply some adhesive to the heart and apply in the center of the O of YOU and your card is nearly ready to mail. Be sure to personalize it on the inside just for you friend... I have no doubt it will be a keeper when it arrives in their mailbox.
