Hi,
This is Veronica from vicky's scrapping passion, sharing with you my next post for Craftwell.
I live in San Antonio, Texas and April is its Fiesta month.
In my kids school, we did a Fiesta celebration on April 30th and I was in charge of arranging a show box parade for the little ones.
So I made Fiesta ribbon medals for the winners:
In short:
I bought already made birthday ribbons with the pin in the back and converted them in fun Fiesta Medals (that's a big item here, everybody collects them during April).
I stamped sentiments and cute little Fiesta critters from HeroArts and cut them with their complimentary die cut.
I stamped sentiments directly in the ribbons used for the Fiesta Wreaths and even the chihuahua/ tacos directly to them using the FSJ licorice black ink. And colored everything with gel pens.
Then, I used my hot glue gun to assemble the medals. I used small Mexican hats, decorated them with rhinestone ribbon, to cover the "birthday" sentiment.
Those were super cute and quick to make.
I did prizes for these categories:
"Fiesta Diversity"
"Fiesta Medal Craze"
And
"#ILoveTacosSoMuch"
Don't the little ones look so cute with their ribbon medals and their shoe boxes floats?
