Altered Alcohol Ink Frame

Ebrush Design Team: Lisa Somerville Week 7 Cycle3

Lisa's frame is outrageous!!! I am in Love, aren't you? Thank you Lisa!

Welcome to the eCraft Blog, Lisa here today, sharing an Altered Frame Tutorial using the eBrush and Siphon Adapter Kit along with Alcohol Inks, some Mixed Media Mediums, Deli Paper, Stencils and a Wooden Frame.

Here's a look at my finished project

Supplies:
Other: Stencils, Foam Brush, Non Stick Craft Mat, Alcohol Inks (I used three colors plus a Silver Metallic), Texture Paste, Matte Medium, Deli Paper, Wooden Frame, Paper Towel (not shown)

Cover your work surface, I'm working on a Non Stick Craft Sheet.  Using Foam Brush, apply Texture Paste to frame.  Cover completely.

Place stencil over wet Texture Paste, add additional paste through the stencil. This will add additional texture to your frame.

Set aside, and let completely dry.

Place multiple sheets of Deli Paper in a stack, before you begin, as the Alcohol Inks will bleed through to your work surface.  MAKE SURE you work surface is protected.  Using the eBrush and Siphon Adapter Kit, spray Alcohol ink onto Deli Paper. You'll see the ink spread into the fibers.

Continue to add Alcohol inks as desired.  If your colors start to puddle or get muddy, simply pull the color up with a paper towel.

Left completely dry.

Apply Matte Medium to the frame, then adhere torn pieces of your colored Deli Paper to the frame.

Continue to cover your frame with the Matte Medium and colored Deli Paper.  Be sure to apply the Matte Medium over the finished frame.  Let Dry.
