Cut 'n' Boss Design Team: Alexia Misson Cycle 10
Alexia is starting off the year right by creating a journal to write down her goals! See how you can recreate this project below!
Happy New Year to all, I can't believe it is 2015 already! Here I wish everyone a new year filled with happiness and good health, god bless you throughout the year. This is my first post for 2015 and I want to share this project with you - a journal cover makeover!
Here is the cover
of the journal created with Teresa Collins and Spellbinders' dies using Cut 'n'
Boss. I especially love the butterfly die from TC very much and have used it on
many other projects, very versatile and easy to make! If you are also into
making a journal cover like this, I have a tutorial for you!
Step 1: Prepare an empty journal, mine is from Basic Grey.
Step 2: Choose two 12x12 patterned papers,
join/adhere two papers together to form a longer sheet of paper.
Step 3: Glue the paper to the journal
Step 4: Trim the excess on all the edges so they fit
perfectly to the journal
Step 5: Closing up all edges/flaps with glue
This is how it looks like
Step 6: Cut burlap
paper using Craftwell's Cut 'n' Boss (I used Spellbinders' banner die and the
platform combination is A/B/A/Material/Cutting Die/Magnetic Shim/D ).
Step 7: Cut smaller banners with scissor
on a glittered card stock
Step 8: Prepare other die-cut shapes
For the following cut-out, I trim the word
"remember" out from the frame
Step 9: Run the cut-outs through Xyron Sticker Maker
Step 10: Embellish the journal with cut-out shapes and alphabet
stickers.
The result is shown as below, I hope you
like how it turns out! Now starts capturing all the special moments with this
journal!
