Design Team: Liz O. Week 19 Cycle 9

Fancy Pants Design sure makes for some fancy pants projects! See what Liz O created today!

Hello Crafty Friends!

With BTS in full swing around here, I have been beautifying composition books J and no better way to personalized them than using our August sponsor: Fancy Pants‘ products! – They have so many collections to choose from you will go buy a box of composition books once you get hooked!!!

Creative supplies:

Fancy Pants, Meology Paper Collection and Stickers for the monogram
Thin metal dies for bookmark (Mine are MCT and Spellbinders)
Composition book, mine is 3.5” x 4.5
Decoupage glue (I used matte finish)
Brush
Gel Pen, clear barrel
Scissors or paper trimmer
eBosser

Difficulty level: Easy
Time: 20-30 min depending on drying time
eBosser plate combo: CD + Magnetic shim+ thin metal die+ DP+ A

Creative process:

For the book, trace the cover onto your DP, cut and decoupage.

Run the scalloped circle die and a “polaroid” style die (using the partial die cut technique) thru your eBosser.

Apply your monogram sticker to the circle and embellish your book mark. I decided to reinforce the top end of my book mark since it is light double sided paper. I added an extra strip of the same paper on the coordinating print and added a couple of tabs from the collection to make it a little sturdier.

Apply another layer of Decoupage. Let dry. Meanwhile cut a strip of paper from the packaging of your DP and roll it around the ink cartridge. Insert into pen’s barrel and you got a fashionably coordinated pen J neat right? I think this is a fantastic craft to make with the kids!

As always thank you for stopping by, have a super crafty day!

Liz
