Avery Elle Challege Week: Jessica Kephart Week 11 Cycle 9

Avery Elle Challenge

Our June sponsor, Avery Elle has challenged our designers to create a scrapbook layout based on a card created by the Avery Elle Design team! This is what Jessica Kephart created today!

Hey everyone! Hope that you had a great weekend! Welcome back to the Craftwell Team Design Blog! This week each Designer has been challenged to use a card from the Avery Elle blog to inspire a Layout!

Here is the Layout that I came up with using the Flowers Dies and Stamps from Avery Elle, and Craftwells Teresa Collins Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

And here are the cards that inspired my layout from the Avery Elle Blog.

I loved the look of the card with the separation in the woodgrain for the sentiment, so I used that to place the bouquets and used the heart die openings to place the sentiment, and a larger one for the photo frame.

This look can only be achieved by using the Craftwell eBosser!!! Because of the size of the eBosser and embossing Folders I was able to create a 12 by 12 layout with seamless embossing from one edge of the layout to the other!!

To re-create a layout or card like this, simply find two coordinating card stocks. Cut the top layer into 2 strips depending on the sizes you'd like and how much of the base layer you want to show. Emboss the strips in the eBosser with the Large Embossing folders. Then Take the dies that you want to use for the frame and any accents and run it through the eBosser as shown below.

Adhere your strips to the base cardstock. Using the same die intended for the frame, cut out a photo and adhere in the negative image opening. Stamp a sentiment in the accent images and embellish to your hearts content!!

Here I used the Flowers stamps and Dies from Avery Elle to create a simple but adorable bouquet in the opening! There are so many ways to play around with your dies and embossing folders! I love using the negative images!

Here is the platform chart for your reference (I refer to mine often!!) :

Thanks so much for stopping in! Make sure to come back each day and see what the rest of the team has come up with for the Craftwell/Avery Elle Card to Layout Challenge!!
