Design Team: Celeste Collette Week 2 Cycle 7

Family Photo Frame

Home decor can be expensive, but sometimes with a little creativity you can create a unique and gorgeous look! See what Celeste Collette created today!

A couple of months ago we had family pictures taken and I was really excited to get them printed so that I could display them in our house. I didn’t really have any picture frames and I didn’t really wanted to get new ones, so I went ahead and used some that I had from a while back. I took some burlap and stretched it over an old canvas and stapled it to the back.

The printed picture still looked a little small on the frame and so I decided that I wanted to add another background. I took some thin cardboard and “stamped” it with some yellow paint.

I really didn’t have anything in mind so I just did it at random and this is what it looked like

After the paint dried I went ahead and added the picture to it. I didn’t want to use hot glue and I was scared that if I used another type of glue it would go through the picture or make it wrinkled. I then I remembered that I got glue from scraperfect “best glue ever” and I decided to use that on the back of the picture and on the back of the cardboard. I was so happy that the glue didn’t ruin my picture and the cardboard actually stuck to the burlap.!!

I added a couple of brads to the corners of the cardboard just
for looks and I think it looks cute!!
