A Sweet 'Treat' for Mommy- To Be!

Want to shower the mommy to be with a sweet treat that will warm her heart? See what KimberlyRae created for her daugher, who is expecting a sweet baby boy!

Congratulations, Karissa! It's a Boy! In August that is...It's been a long time since there was a baby around here and I'm lovin' that my own daughter is having our grandson. What a joy it is to go through the expecting process with her and hear every new and exciting thing that happens as her body drastically takes form and gets ready for birth [ok, the Big Day]! haha

Another thing that's exciting for me [New Grandparent] is doing what I do-->creating 'stuff' with my hands! And boy, have I been busy knitting, sewing and of course- paper crafting! So, I'm pretty excited to show you my project, today. I made a Baby Shower Favor and it's a BUN in OVEN! I hope it makes Karissa smile...it sure made me happy to make it!

Instructions
First, using SCAL3, you will need to make a SVG of your Template changing the score lines to dashes and then cut all pieceswith your Craftwell eCraft.
I used these settings, with new blade, for the Echo Park paper pieces:
3 pressure
no CCS
no tabs
I used these settings, with new blade, for the American Crafts pieces:
4 pressure
no CCS
no tabs
1. So, once all your pieces are cut, assemble the 'base' piece which is your oven. I made an extra square to go on the top and then used Zots to adhere the typewriter keys to spell 'b-a-b-y'.
2. Adhere the alphas on the backplate of the stove to spell ' bun in oven'.
3. Glue the oven door in place onto the bottom drawer.
4. Adhere the handles...Easy Peasy..now your oven is done onto the booties....
5. You will need the Free pattern to knit your booties. If you don't knit any infant booties will work.
6. Once you've got your booties. smooth out and stagger them, rolling them to form the 'frosting'. When you're done rolling it will look like a swirl...tape to secure.
7. Place cupcake wrapper around it and decorate as desired. I used the sticker border for my confetti and my Handmade Crinkle Ribbon!
8. Place in the 'oven' and you're done! Sure to please any Mom-to-be!

*TIP* For a Fun and Personalized way to preserve memories, create your own personalized signature by stamping with Punkin’ Patch Stamp, emboss and heat. Ink the edges and run through Xyron and adhere to any project. [I put mine on the back of the oven]!
Ok, that's it for today but there Will be More Baby Fun Stuff coming soon...keep checking back!
