We would like you to Meet: Jennifer McCrae!
We are delighted for you all to get to meet Jennifer! She is the 5th and last member of our our Design Team, and we can't wait for you all to get to know her better! Jennifer is very creative, has an amazing personality, and loves her eCraft! When we received her project submission, we were blown away, we just had to have her join our team! Now, lets give her a chance to introduce herself, in her own words...
I am a semi- stay at home mom and although we are currently in
Central Texas, I will always be a California girl! I am wife to Michael
(we just celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary) and mother to
Samantha (my 13yr old from my first marriage) who recently dubbed me as
Craft-Mom. I really caught the crafting bug when my husband and I were
planning our wedding. I made all of our centerpieces (dried flower
arrangements), appliquéd lace and pearls on my shoes and hand painted
all of our thank you notes. From 2001-2003 I was teaching decorative
painting in the 3 local Michael's stores on the central coast of
California, as well as teaching privately and participating in local
craft shows. During this time, I also learned a 15th century paper
craft called Pergamano (think vellum, needles and tiny scissors). When
we relocated out of the area in 2005 I got involved in scrapbooking and
have been happily playing in my piles of paper and goodies ever since!
I believe that all children should have a chance to 'craft', it gives them a creative outlet, something to do with their hands and it helps them see objects in a different way. It never ceases to amaze me how a group of individuals can all be handed the same pieces of paper, glue and some embellishments and everyone will come up with some different and wonderful. That's the beauty of crafting!
Thank you Jennifer! We can't wait for your projects! To find out more about Jennifer, follow her blog here:

ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, I am impressed with all the creativity you have stored up inside that little 5'1" frame. Who would have thought that child who played in mud would create such beautiful keepsakes.
