Hello peeps,
Swathi here from cookiescakeandlove and I am here on the Craftwell blog with another wonderful creation from my kitchen - a Valentine's day inspired cookie cake. My son loves cookies and when we went to the mall last month, he saw a giant cookie cake from Nestle toll house. He insisted on buying it but when i checked the price it was way too expensive.
I decided to bake it for him at home and surprise him for Valentine's day. I followed my usual cookie recipe but baked it in a 9" spring form pan. I baked a chocolate chip cookie cake which was a house favorite.
I decided to make it fancy by adding some buttercream and decorate the cake. I made my trusted vanilla buttercream recipe and iced the cookie cake. To make it more colorful, I used my Craftwell eBrush with the siphon kit and used a heart stencil borrowed from my friend and airbrushed the top with the US Cake supply airbrush color super red.
I also added a couple of sprinkles and red beads and piped rosettes at the border with the buttercream and finished decorating the cookie cake.
My son was excited to see the cake and we had a great valentines day at home. The cake was devoured by all and everyone loved the taste of cookie with buttercream.
Hope this post inspires you to bake some cookie cake for your loved one. I will be back with another baked goodie soon. Cheers!
