Hi there! Suzanna here today to share with you a really cool trick to bring new life to your embossing folders! This technique would make some really fun backgrounds for cards with the newer A4 folders too.

Hi there! Suzanna here today to share with you a really cool trick to bring new life to your embossing folders! This technique would make some really fun backgrounds for cards with the newer A4 folders too.
Do you see what I did with that cream cardstock? By both embossing and debossing with the same folder, I was able to create a basketweave or plaid effect with this particular folder. Pretty cool, eh?! So this is what you do;
- run your paper through the Craftwell Cut'N Boss in an embossing folder as you normally would.
- flip the paper in the embossing folder and run it through again
The first pass through the machine will emboss the paper, the second pass through will deboss the paper over the previous pattern.
I can't wait to try this technique with some of my other folders and even try mixing and matching folders. Have you ever seen this done before or is the technique new to you?
I would love to see what you are able to do with this technique! I am still blown away by how interesting this looks! I'm sure all you creative folk out there will do amazing things with this!
Thanks for stopping in today!
Suzanna
