Cut 'n' Boss Design Team: Alexia Misso Week 1 Cycle 10

It's FALL! And we are so excited for today's gorgeous home decor project by the talented Alexia Misso! This is her first post of this design team term, and if today's post is any indication of her ability to inspire, then we will have a very successful term!

Happy Thursday everyone! I’m Alexia and this is my first post here at Craftwell. I’m very excited and feeling grateful at the same time for this amazing opportunity given to me to be on this creative team! Thank you Craftwell!

Today I’m sharing a fall-themed frame that I created with Craftwell dies and embossing folder, instructions for making this frame are elaborated in this post as well. However, you will need a few basic supplies:

- -A wooden frame (I got mine from Michaels)

- - A patterned card stock

- - A picture

- -Some faux fall leaves

- -Adhesives

- -Trim of ribbon (optional)

I used a fall patterned card stock with foil accent that gives the final result a shiny look, such as this:

Here is how to make it:

Step 1: Trace around outside and inside frame and cut the shape out (do this on the back side of the patterned card stock)

Cut the outer and inner frame according to the traced lines

Step 2: Adhere the cut-out from Step 1 to the front of the frame

Step 3: Take a sheet of card stock (preferably one that matches the theme), trace around the area of the back of the frame as shown below and cut it out.

Step 4: Run the cut-out from Step 3 through Craftwell’s Cut n’ Boss machine using Teresa Collins’ Wood Grain embossing folder

Step 5: Insert the embossed card stock to the frame

Step 6: Start embellishing the frame with Craftwell’s die-cut shapes, sandwich the cutting plate and card stock in between cutting platforms (picture below is for illustration only).

Step 7: Apply adhesive to cut-outs (To create contrast, I layer another card stock behind all cut-outs and stick them together, for example see Step 8)

Step 8: Embellish away!

Tips: For this cut-out tag, I cut a rectangle out around the word “Lucky” to create a see-through affect.

Tada!!! Here is the final result, I love those little details created using Craftwell’s products! It adds so much life, story and cuteness to the frame!
