Hi everyone! Debbie with you today to share a fun project just in time for Fall decorating.
This project is pretty simple and actually I took it few steps further than you really have to. You don't really have to add the base to this but I wanted to add more leaves.
Turn this:
Into this:
I started of with a bare paper mache' pumpkin. To get this Aged Metal look I used HVAC tape...the kind you buy in the hardware stores. It has and adhesive backing so it's easy to apply. I ran strips of the HVAC tape through the Cut n Boss using the Design Grids embossing folder. I adhere the tape in small pieces so it would go around the round edges of the pumpkin. After the pumpkin was covered I applied black acrylic paint to the tape and then wiped it off as I went along.
You can see the how-to technique in the picture video below!
It gives this aged effect you see here!
Hope you enjoyed this project today and I hope you will give this aged metal technique a try.
Products I used:
HVAC Tape
Black Acrylic Paint
Additional Items used:
Paper Mache Pumpkin
Silk Leaves
Tattered Angels Sprays in Various colors
Diamond Glaze
Diamond Dust
Burlap Ribbon
Miscellaneous Flowers
Twine

Thank you Debbie! WOW! I mean, using tape is WAY easier than modge podge and paper! What a great idea! What do you think? Did you know Debbie used tape for this project at first glance?
