Guest Designer: Samantha Taylor
There is simply too much talent out there! We are so excited to feature another amazing designer today! Say hello, to Samantha Taylor!
Hello! My name is Samantha Taylor from Taylor Stamped, and I couldn't be more excited to be guest here on the Craftwell blog today. I'm an avid paper crafter who also loves photography, knits a little, loves to cook, and can't make it through the day without coffee. I'm a wife to an amazing man, and I'm a mom to 2 wonderful, busy boys who are most often the subject of my paper crafting. I love creating pretty things, and I love that paper crafting has brought me in contact with so many people I otherwise never would have met! I hope you enjoy the Hello Sunshine layout I made with my Cut 'n' Boss to share with you today.
I started this layout by cutting a lot of hexagons (from patterned paper, vellum, photos, and card stock). I have to say, I'm so glad the Cut 'n' Boss is motorized and I didn't have to crank each of those through by hand!
After cutting a couple of hexagons from vellum, I ran them through the Cut 'n' Boss again, this time with the Delicate Dots Embossing Folder. Embossing on vellum is a great way to add subtle texture to your cards or layouts. If you plan on both die cutting and embossing on the same piece of vellum, you'll get the best results if you cut first and then emboss. I added some sequins behind the vellum, and then stitched the vellum to a hexagon cut from black card stock.
I attached the hexagons to my base piece of patterned paper, and finished up with some matching embellishments. Thank you so much for letting me share my layout with you today!
