Valentine's Day Basket

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and this sweet treat basket is easy and quick to make assembly line style if you have a child’s classroom or after-school group to make favors for the holiday. The eBosser makes die cutting the basket quick because you can cut 2 or 3 sheets of card stock at a time. Treat baskets are even appreciated by adults too! Think of co-workers and people you see on a regular basis like bank tellers or post office clerks.
Instructions: (finished decorated basket measures approx. 3.5 x 5 inches)
Using red and pink cardstock, die cut the basket twice per finished treat basket in your eBosser with the following sandwich: (from bottom to top) D, B, E, C, die cutting edge facing up, cardstock, and A. Ink the edges of the decorative pink basket with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. Glue the pink on top of each red background basket. One set will be the front and one will be the back. Cut a piece of matching red to be 2.5 x 5.75 inches to make the inside box. Score this piece as follows: with the short side at the top of your Scor-Pal, score at 1/2 inch and 2 inches from the left side. Turn the paper so the long side is along the top of the Scor-Pal and score at 2-1/8 inch and 3-5/8 inch from the left side. Snip the 4 shortest score lines to each juncture. Fold and glue box together. Two sides will be partially open at this point. Glue the basket panels to the open sides of the little box so that the sides of the treat basket are the full box sides. Die cut your flower petals from white card stock and ink the edges with Worn Lipstick ink. Shape the petals on a foam mat with ball end stylus tools. Assemble the flower layers and attach the basket. Die cut 2 pieces of foliage using the foliage die in the decorative basket set. Shape the leaves and arrange under the flower petals. Create 2 stick pins from stiff wire or even large paper clips. Attach glittered hearts to the ends and place the stick pins behind the flower. Add treats as desired to the now assembled valentine basket. Enjoy!
