3rd Time's a Charm!

Ebrush Design Team: Jan Hunter Week 2 Cycle 2

Jan has really make the most elegant of cards. The unique fold and the beautiful color work, who would not like to be on the receiving end of this!

Hi. Jan here.  I have to admit that my first 2 attempts with the design and color for this project were epic fails... so I guess that the 3rd time is a charm!

Creating the base wasn't the issue at all... That was the easy part.
You'll need 1 sheet 11 inches wide by 6 inches tall (You can get 2 cards out of a 12 x 12 sheet or 1 card from an 8.5 x 11in sheet).
Score along the long side at 2.75, 5.50, and 8.25.  Fold and crease well using a bone folder.
Open and lay flat.  Draw the scalloped edge along one long side and cut.

Get your markers (Spectrum Noir for this project) and your eBrush!  Time to color!
I used the eBrush to color and edge in yellow, orange and pink.  I left some areas on each section front and back much lighter.  Then using a stencil (mine is from Penny Black) if desired, stencil onto the panels.  My sample project uses a piece of glossy stock.
Note:  If you don't have an eBrush, grab your ink pads and daubers!  You can get nearly the same look!

I stamped on the last inside panel  (glossy side) with a small sentiment from a Stampin' Up! set from a few years back (-- it's likely retired by now), leaving oodles of room to personalize.

Once you've completed the personalization, sign your card, fold and tie with a ribbon.  This card will fit in a business size envelope!

Thanks for dropping by!  Hoping you'll get a bit of time to play this coming week!
