Hello, and welcome to my latest project, eBrushing on Vellum! Today I wanted to make a background for a holiday card using my eBrush, and I had some vellum left out from another project that I had just finished, so I thought that I would see how eBrushing on vellum would look.
I started by taking some triangle sheets from a MAMBI Banner paper pad and layered them over a piece of vellum. Then, using Spectrum Noir markers, I eBrushed three shades of green (JG6, JG3, CG3) over the entire sheet.
After completing the layers of green, I proceeded to peel off one or two triangles at a time and then eBrushed the same three shades of green over the entire piece again. I repeated the process until all triangles were removed and another layer of eBrushing was added. This left me with the eBrushed illusion of layered triangles.
It also left me with some pretty cool triangles that I can use on a future project. I just had to eBrush over the white areas to give them the same layered look.
I then trimmed down my vellum and ran it through my Xyron to add adhesive over the entire back and adhered it to my card base.
After completing the background, I stamped this adorable rubber stamp from the Crafter’s Companion Popcorn the Bear Christmas Collection called Snow Love. I colored it using the Spectrum Noir markers. I also cut a bunch of flowers to use as snowflakes using the Fiskars Flowers corner punch.
On a piece of white scrap paper, I eBrushed a strip of paper using Spectrum Noir TB1 and placed it at the bottom of the card for some snow hills. I also took one of the eBrushed triangle scraps, cut it into a strip and made a title for my card, hand-writing Happy Holidays on it.
Put it all together, and Voila! The final touch was some Diamond Stickles glitter glue added to the snowflakes for some sparkle.
Thanks for checking out my eBrushed Happy Holidays card. I hope I have given you some ideas for creating your own unique backgrounds using the Craftwell eBrush airbrush system!
