Design Team: Sam Week 6 Cycle 8

Cutie Patootie

Scrappin' Friday is here! See Sam's adorable doily layout below!

It’s Scrappin’ Friday again and I (Sam) have another simple layout to share with you.  I would love to show you how I use the die cut doilies to accent the subtitle of my layout.

One of the reason I love eBosser because it really gives intricate cut (like the doilies diecut show above) an extremely clean cut. I love using doilies in my projects to create extra layering and clustering for my embellishments. In this particular layout, it featured the photo of my baby when I found out that he has his 1st and 2nd teeth. Thus I use the circle number stickers in 1 and 2 here. The stickers alone look a little plain so I layered my beloved mini doilies die cuts underneath to make the numbers pop!

The tone-on-tone doilies created subtle layering for the numbers. I also cut a piece of die-cut doilies into half and frame the both sides of the layout.

I love using doilies so much that I have cut out a bunch of doilies and keep them on my desk so that I could use them on any of my projects! What is your favourite dies that you use in almost all your projects?  Thank you for dropping by and have an great weekend ahead!

Supplies Used:
Papers – me & my BIG ideas, American Crafts,
Embellishments –me & my BIG ideas (chipboard stickers & Alphabet stickers)
Dies – My Favourtie Things Die-namics
Others – Distress Stains
