Guest Designer: Jazmin Gibbons Week 12

School Schultuete

School has already started, but Jazmin Gibbons was a little behind. Still Amy Tangerines's Cut & Paste collection made it easy for her to redeem herself to her kids! See what she created below!

Hi everyone! I'm glad to be back as a guest!

So, school has been going on for about 2 months now, and I just got around to creating a little goodie bag, or a Schultuete!  My kids are biracial and they have German on their dad side, so every year, I create this paper cone and fill it up with goodies for the beginning of the year. Which is traditional in Germany. Only difference is that they do it on the first day of school and not 2 months later...

Anyway, I did it and at least it got my kids excited about school when all the excitement about starting school has well worn off!

This is a simple project, but fun to make!

Supplies:
Amy Tangerines 'Cut & Paste' Collection paper or any 12x12 scrappaper
hot glue gun
twine
stickers and pieces to decorate Amy Tangerine's chipboard pieces and thickers in white
Tissue Paper

Directions

-Simply roll the paper to make a cone and glue to secure with some hot glue.

-Fill the bottom of the cone with tissue paper to make sure nothing falls out ;)

-then glue some tissue paper to the inside of the cone (top)  and let dry.

-Fill with goodies and use twine to close the top and add a decorative touch.

-Decorate outside with stickers with their name or grade! It's up to you! I used Amy Tangerine's chipboard pieces!

I filled my cone with erases, pencils, scissors, and gum! Simple yet the kids felt like it was their birthday!

I love doing stuff like this for my kids. It's easy way to make them feel special! Now it's time to start thinking about Halloween!
