Lois' Pretty Pictures
Change is good. Just ask Lois Hale from Auntie Lolo blog! She is here to share some news with all of our eCrafters and a few projects too!
Read on to find out what she's been dying to tell you!
Hi! My name
is Lois but you might know me by Auntie Lolo from my blog :) I am here today to share a
really fun project I made with the eCraft!
We recently
had a BIG, wonderful change in our household. We became parents! Our daughter's
name is Cheyenne and she was 22 months when we were able to get her out of the
foster care system. We are head over heels in love with her!
Our guest
bathroom, which is now her bathroom, had zero decoration in it. I just could
never decide what to do in there. I knew Cheyenne would love some signs in
there and I am so happy to finally have a cute little girl to make crafts
for!
I purchased
3 frames at Hobby Lobby at 50% off. They came to about $5.00 each for a 12 x 12
frame which I think is great! If you want to save even more money you
could get frames at the thrift store but now that I have a toddler I have less
time for painting.
I found some great svgs online of a bathtub, rubber ducky, hair
brush and toothbrush and used my eCraft to cut them out. Then I used the eCraft font and cut out the words,
"Clean, Brush and Pretty". Everything cut like a dream! No sticky
mats, just nice clean cuts.
The bathtub picture goes, you guessed it, right beside the
bathtub! It's her favorite one because she LOVES to take a bath and she is
obsessed with her rubber duckies. When she walks in the bathroom now she points
at the little rubber ducky on the edge of the tub. Makes this Mama happy!
The toothbrush picture hangs right beside the sink where we do our
brushing twice a day. Now we have something pretty to look at while we
do!
The hairbrush picture hangs in the big empty space above the
toilet and the towel rack. Perfect fit. She can see it while I do her hair in
the morning too. The reason it says Pretty? When I brush her hair in the
morning she always says, "Pretty!" I guess I've said that a time or
two to her :)
This was a really easy project and so much fun to make for my
little girls bathroom. I had no idea she would like them so much and it really
does brighten the whole bathroom up!
This only encourages me to get my eCraft out more and make her something
else!
Materials:
I used Bo
Bunny Double Dot Paper for the main images and the background paper is from
Hobby Lobby.
I love those pictures! Even though I don't have children at home anymore, I would love to make a set for my guest bathroom :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new little one! I am adopted and know how much this little one is loved! Prayers
