 Father's Day Gift

Father's Day is upon us, and we have an amazing gift idea from Kim Gauhan! See what she created today!
Today I have a fun Father's Day gift for a motorcycle loving dad!

Since ties are a traditional Father's Day gift, I made a tie gift box, but gave it a fun twist by using motorcycle patterned cardstock.
See below for the King of the Road tutorial!

Supplies:
eCraft
SCAL3
SVG Files - SVG Cuts "All About Dad" SVG Kit; Rectangle
"Family Man" Echo Park Mini Kit - patterned cardstock and stickers
Black Cardstock - Recollections
Xyron Mega Runner
Scoring Tool
Pop Dots
Black Ink Pad

For the Card:

Using your software (I used SCAL3) resize a rectangle to 11 inches wide by 5 inches high and cut it out in black cardstock with your eCraft. Score the rectangle in half at 5 1/2 inches.  You will now have a 5 1/2 by 5 inch card.  Cut the long striped sticker included in the Echo Park Mini Kit in half and adhere to the top and bottom of the front of the card.  If you have any of the sticker hanging off the card, trim it down with your scissors so it is at the card's edge.  Cut out the King Of The Road mini cardstock piece and ink edges with black ink.  Adhere this with pop dots to the card as shown in the picture.  Adhere the Father's Day, arrows and stars stickers also as seen in the picture.  For the black arrow on the bottom of the card I used pop dots underneath to give the card a little more dimension.

For the Tie:

With your eCraft cut out all the pieces for the tie from the "All About Dad" svg kit by SVG Cuts using the size they recommend - except for the striped portion of the top layer of the tie. You won't need it for this tie, since the top layer is the motorcycle patterned cardstock.  Assemble as per the kit instructions, ink the edges of the top layer of the tie, and for the top knot of the tie, adhere with a pop dot underneath.

I hope you enjoyed this project!  The "Family Man" mini kit has other fun patterned cardstock in it that you could use for this project too.  And Echo Park's cardstock cuts so nice and cleanly in the eCraft!   If you have any questions please feel free to ask below or in the Craftwell forum.
See you next Tuesday!

- Kim

How awesome is this?! The moms get all the loving, but dads more than deserve it as well!

How will you be celebrating your dad?
