Kim Gaughan's 'Just in Case' Stash
Have you ever had a week or month, where it just seems like an endless string of events, showers and birthday parties? Of course you have! So, what do you do when you wish you could create something special for each event, but with time shortage, you just cant? Kim Gaughan has a solutions! See what we mean, below!
Happy Tuesday eCrafters!
When making cards (or any cards really), I usually personalize them with things I know the recepient likes. I love being able to personalize cards because a)I love seeing the reaction of the I give them to, and b) personalized cards are awesome! Who doesn't love seeing a card in their favorite flower, sport, color, etc?! Well lately I have been thinking about what happens when you don't have time to or get caught up in life and need a cool card as soon as possible.. So my plan is to make a 'just in case stash' just for those cases when I need a card but don't have time to make one.
Supplies
eCraft
SCAL 3 and circle basic shape
SVG's: SVG Cuts-Happy Birthday To You SVG Kit
Xyron Mega Runner
Unity Stamps: Party All Day
Ink: Ranger -Archival Ink
Cardstock-Heidi Swapp-Sugar Chic
1 Brad
Rhinestones
1 Pop Dot
Tacky Glue
For the Card:
From the Happy Birthday Card: With your eCraft cut the card base, tag, and flower. as the same withs per the kit instructions. Adhere the tags onto the front of the card base. Assemble the flower with a brad in the center and the adhere to the flower on the top left of the card and glue a rhinestone on top of the brad. Cut 1.75 inch circle with SCAL 3 basic shapes and your eCraft.
Stamp the Happy Birthday circle image and ink edges. When dry, adhere to bottom right of card with a pop dot. Glue the 5 rhinestones as per the picture.
For the Party Hat:
With your eCraft cut out the party hat the same width according to kit instructions. This party hat was as easy as that! I was going to add some ribbons or elements but since the cheetah pattern is so busy, I didn't. I really like the simplicity of this hat.-it's simple and cute and it make a great 'little something extra' to give with a birthday card!
I hope you liked this project! I'm excited to build my 'just in case' stash of birthday and events cards. This cute card and party hat are my latest additions!
See you next Tuesday!
