Design Team: Lyssa Zimmerman Week 8 Term 2

Lyssa Zimmerman's Baked Necklace

We are excited for this months sponsor! Our girls are turning in some fabulous work! Today, Lyssa used Print on It: Bake & Shrink material to create a fabulous accessory!

Here is her how-to:

Excited to share with you a new sponsor for the month!
Print on it: Bake & Shrink is something I have never used before. And I am sold!
I can't wait to see what I can create with this stuff!
Maybe this?

Made my own Monogrammed Pendant for my necklace. Pretty nifty huh?

Well to begin, I opened up my eCraftShop Pro Software and grabbed an image from Jen Allyson Designs:

I then blacked out the image so it just had the outside image. Then I used some text and placed a "Z" inside the image. Then I made an oval and put that around the "Z"

When I cut it out, it drew the oval and letter then cut out the outside line. You can see from the image above that the "draw" lines are purple and "cut" lines are black.

Then I used some permanent black marker and filled in the "Z" and the outer frame

Not shown here but I then used a hole punch at the top to I can put it onto my necklace...otherwise, you will not be able to punch through it after it's baked!

Next I prepared the oven for baking! Set it at 400 degrees. It only needs to be in there for a couple of minutes. I watched it the whole time.I thought it wasn't going to work initially but it falls flat and back into shape. This stuff is amazing!!!

See? Comparison of before and after! Look how small it shrunk!

And here she is on my necklace. So fun.

The possibilities are endless with this stuff. What would you make? Have you ever tried Bake and Shrink before?

-Lyssa

Thank you Lyssa for the inspiration! Now, we will go and make ourselves a necklace!
Can you believe how easy it is to create your own personalized accessory?!

did you download it from somewhere? A theme like yours with a few simple tweeks would
really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got
