Design Team: Lyssa Zimmerman Week 3 Term 2

Lyssa Zimmerman's Puppy Leash Holder!

It's challenge week for the Design Team! Yesterday, Debi got super creative making a magnetic birthday  board, and today it's Lyssa's turn at a board project! Only this time, is for the pooch!

Here is her tutorial:

Hi Everyone! This week, we were challenged to make a home decor item with the supplies we were given from our sponsors: DCWV Mr. Cricut Crazy Again, with the "DOG" theme, wasn't too sure what I was going to do. Then I talked with my sister and bounced an idea around since she has a dog. She loved the idea of having a hook board to hold all her dog's leashes and collars.
So the Leash Hook board was born!

Supplies used:
Wood Plaque from Crafts Etc.Paper from DCWV
Modge Podge (Hobby Lobby)
Stamps from Mr. Cricut Crazy & brown ink
Brown Vinyl from Provo Craft
Hooks from Crafts Etc
eCraft Die cutting machine

I first placed the papers onto the plaque using the Modge Podge. I then used stamps along the red paper to personalize and play out the "dog" theme.

Then I cut out the vinyl with the eCraft, no tabs and pressure to "2" and worked like a charm!

Then I got a drill and drilled some holes and screwed in the hooks. And we are done!!
If only I had a dog...this is so cute up on the wall....

  2. Hi there!

This leash holder was for a project challenge, but if you go to etsy and search "dog leashes" I bet you can find something unique, and for a good price!
