Raven Baca's Fall Leaf
Raven came up with an adorable way to decorate a 'paint bucket' with the amazing Square 1 material. We can think of so many ways to use this! From filling it up with thankful thoughts to reading with your family during the Thanksgiving season, or even adding some goodies to hand out to your closest friends! The best part? It's super easy to do! Here is Raven's how-to:
Hey beautiful eCrafters. This week we are making fall treats for your
family members. We had a long holiday and thought what better way to
whip something up than using the eCraft. So out she came and we got to
work. We also used a new material in the eCraft called Square1. I was
a tad leery of this material at first because I wasn't sure how it
would cut. But I found a way that worked perfectly with the eCraft. :)
Here is what you will need to do to recreate this project.
Here is a list of how I used the eCraft with this project:
1. My pressure setting was set at 4.5
2. My tab density was set at 0
3. My tab width was set at 0
4. Multi cut was set at 0
5. I did not use an image stabilizer.
6. My blade cap was on.
With the Square1 paper/adhesive fabric you want to load your sheet
upside down. Remember that if you are cutting something more detailed
and intricate you will want to make sure you flip it in your software
program prior to cutting. I found cutting it with the fabric toward
the ground worked best and didn't cut or tear the material.
*Using Fundamentals 1 SD card select desired leaf (there are a few to
choose from)
*Size it at 3 and load your Square1 material upside down. (Fabric side
to the floor)
*Place your blade housing unit in the lower left hand corner of your material.
*Select cut.
Once your image has cut remove it from the eCraft and keep the backing
on the material. The Square1 material has an adhesive backing on it
keep this on for now.
*Using Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint~Peeled Paint cover your entire
image with the paint.
*While your image is drying cut a piece of pattern paper at 3 x 12".
*Cut a piece of black cardstock at 1 3/4 x 12" Adhere the black
cardstock to the pattern paper.
*Once your cut image is dry peel off the adhesive backing and adhere
it to your project.
I have to say I really liked making this project. I didn't know how
well Square1 would absorb the paint but it did a fabulous job.
Normally when I paint on paper it curls up a little bit but this
material didn't curl at all. I will be using this material plenty more
so please keep watching. Thank you all so much for stopping by.
Big Hugs,
